This book is about the American philosophical foundation. The author is a Rabbi who well understands and explains our unique foundation. And it is unique, because no other country was founded on this philosophy. Many, particularly those on the left, think this foundation is about religion because they are ignorant. Certainly I couldn't have explained our country's foundation in any depth, and that ignorance caused me to vote for leftist Democrats, not understanding the damage I was causing. But now I see problems with the approach of many conservatives as well.

The Judeo-Christian philosophy sees people as individuals -- unlike isms such as marxist materialism that sees people as classes that can be molded by government rather than individuals with free will. Our foundation is unlike Islam and other religions, for our philosophy views people as of equal worth. The book is balanced, however, for no human endeavor is perfect, such as in diplomacy and war, where some actions have a moral grounding, while others simply never will achieve the desired outcome. I will not go into the logic, you need to read the book for that, but the explanations are clear.

If you are a conservative, you may need to improve your understanding. If you are a liberal, you by definition don't understand what conservatives mean when they talk of freedom. You think it is talk about doing what you want at the expense of others, but you are wrong. (As a personal aside, it astounds me the people who fight to come here to enjoy what our unique foundation provides, then work to create the same cesspool they abandoned.)

This book is an easy read, each chapter addresses a different subject, from marriage, diplomacy, taxation, social welfare, and so on.

This is a terrific book. It is one of the most illuminating books I've had the pleasure of reading in the last decade. Rabbi Spero answers questions many of us have been thinking about in a way that is logical and thought-provoking. He made me feel strong in defending America, he exposed the danger of liberal arrogance and how it will destroy the beautiful American life we love. He says things in a way that touches the heart, stimulates the mind, and makes us want to stand up and fight for America. This will become a classic. We're lucky to have this book.

Rabbi Spero captures the essence of what is missing in America. He says what I have been thinking for quite a while. His crisp and concrete language should appeal to any person who is ready to push back against a government agenda that is trying desperately to change the America that was based on the beliefs of our forefathers and God. Rabbi Spero is a voice of reason in a time where common sense is so terribly amiss.

Here's a book that not only uncovers the leftist agenda to dismantle all that has made America the greatest nation in the history of man, but it also equips us with the reasons behind the greatness. Our founding fathers have been maligned in an effort by the left to cast doubt on our very formation as a nation. Once the Author reacquaints us with the incomparable value of America, he goes on to show how we are being destroyed from within by those who would have us follow a socialist, European model. It hasn't served Europe well and it won't serve us well either. I'd recommend this book to anyone who has sensed that something in America smells really bad and is sick and tired of feeling guilty when a liberal friend chastises him for saying something not quite politically correct. Let's recognize the problem and start feeling empowered to stand up for American values before it's too late.. Push Back!

If you read 1 book this year, this should be it. Rabbi Spero is a dynamic and compelling writer, and his analysis and vision have inspired me beyond the limits of politics. His is a voice that must be listened too, even by those that might disagree with him. I recommend sharing this experience with family members, who will be surprised and delighted by what they learn.

This is an unalloyed recommendation. Rabbi Spero's insight, wisdom and his ACTIONS are a constant inspiration to those of us who are in the fight of our lives to awaken our families, friends, neighbors and fellow Americans to the danger that we face as a result of the constant assaults on our culture.
This book should be read by every person who loves this country.
