Know thyself, trust thyself, believe thyself, get over thyself!,
By Brian Schwartz (Fort Collins, CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pushing Water Uphill with a Rake: Memoirs of a Successful Failure (Paperback)
Steve captures the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in what he went and his partners went through in building a $500 million public company. It's a wild ride from start to finish, and one that any entrepreneur should learn from. I especially liked his 'Lessons Learned' at the end of the book where he writes "In business, as well as in life, what defines us is not if we fail, but rather how we handle failure and its effects on us and those around us." I learned that failure is a prerequisite of success in talking to over 50 entrepreneurs... and that it's not a matter of if you fail, but when! Once I got through the first couple of chapters, I honestly could not put this book down!
