This review is from: Pushing Your Luck (Audio CD)
Pushing Your Luck, Cd
by Louisiana Swamp Pop Legend Charles Mann is GREAT! This is a new and exciting album from Charles! This CD has been nominated for a GRAMMY in the CAJUN/ZYDECO Category.WOW! I especially like the second cut "The Daylight Waltz" it is an old Sidney Brown Cajun waltz sung all in Cajun French. The French accordion is wonderful. Charles' Uncle (Arthur Leger) plays the fiddle and brother (Garland Domingue) is on the drums. Charles Mann does an excellent job singing on this song. It brings the true old Cajun heritage spirit to life and makes one want to get up and dance. YE YAILLE' CHER! The others songs are extremely good too. I especially like:" Just You and Me", "Burning Desire", "Started with An Angel", "Pushing Your Luck", "Go on and Cry", "Going to New Orleans"... There is a lot of variety on this Cd. Cajun, swamp pop, and country. You can bet that there will be many hits from this one. Charles Mann still has it and is going strong. FYI Also check out the Cd "Charles Mann The Essential Collection" for all of his greatest hits. Charles Mann is a true Louisiana Swamp Pop Legend. Every cut on this Cd is a certified Louisiana Hit. Enjoy! Get yourself a dance partner and let the GOOD TIMES ROLL CHERE! You will love it!
