Classy,

So Rammstein is at it again and recently released two songs from their upcoming album. The first song, "Pussy," is pretty self explanatory. Gone are the clever lyrics Rammstein is known for, but they more than make up for it with good, rousing, typical, Rammstein metal. The music is pure Rammstein. Actually, upon first listen, it seems they recycled several old songs to create this song. I don't fault them for this, as the song still manages to stand on its own. It has a bit more of a pop beat, akin to Moscow or Amerika. Since I tend to appreciate the newer albums by Rammstein, I give this song 4 1/2 stars. For fans of the older Rammstein, they also include the B-rate single "Rammlied." This song has the brooding anger with menacing guitars that skyrocketed Rammstein to international fame with their first two albums. As I said earlier, I am not as big of a fan of their early work, so I rate this song 3 stars.
In conclusion, judging from this CD, Rammstein is back with much of their old thunder. I would be satisfied with another typical Rammstein CD, but I am hoping they manage to stretch their genre a little more than the samples we see on this single. If not, ehh, it's still Rammstein. PS: For those of you older than 18, you may want to check out the music video to "Pussy." You can do an online search to locate the unedited version, or watch the edited version on youtube. Be forewarned: This video contains nudity (hell, it's basically a porno). Not very clever like their music videos of the past, but what it lacks in vision, it more than makes up in controversy. Let's just say that this music video isn't going to see much air time on MTV.

Welcome back boys..,

Being a die hard Rammstein fan, I appreciate they're new sound and new direction.
The single "Pussy" as the other user said, explains itself. Till sings about not being able to get laid in Germany, while at the same time, keeping some humor in the fact. This song does have some memories of past Rammstein songs, but the added material and Till's out of left field lyrics make this song one you'll definately remember whether you like it or not. The music video is its own story. Full of nudity (complete nudity), and Till waving a German flag. The boys play different roles that explore they're sexual preferences, and then give examples, very creative. This song is just one of the full 16 track CD that will be coming out on the 20th; and finding different leaks on the internet, I can tell you, true and dedicated R+ fans will not be disappointed. Rammstein is back with a vengeance and I'm loving every minute of it. Welcome back boys, I have missed you..

Awesome,

I'm trying to figure out why self proclaimed, "die-hard Rammstein fans" are trashing Pussy and Rammlied. The the lyrics and overall theme of Pussy are no more or no less explicit/suggestive than their other works. Bück dich, Weisses Fleisch, Kuss Mich (Fellfrosch), Mein Teil, Mann Gegan Mann, etc. Come on people, even if you don't know German, there are websites with excellent translations.
Now, about these songs: Both songs are very unique. They definitely take elements from their earlier works and incorporate them into these new releases. Pussy is by far their best English/German song in my book. The electronics and guitars are amazing. They struck a good balance between both languages. Rammstein is trying to be controversial (as they like to do at times), and it seems like it is working. Sure, they don't hide behind any metaphors or creative language, but I think it's cool that they do something different and be blunt in their lyrcis. Rammlied instantly reminds me of something that could have come out in Herzeleid or Sehnsucht - especially how they are chanting Rammstein like the self titled song in their first album. Excellent, excellent. I love how the song starts off quietly with eerie silence, faint chanting, soft intro, then explodes into guitars! Awesome. If you are truly a Rammstein fan, this Single and the Album will be very enjoyable.

After Rosenrot, I was a little nervous about the new album, Liebe ist für alle da. But after I heard this single, the new album suddenly became something to really look forward to. These songs are definitely new, but it sounds like Rammstein have gone back to their roots, and what made them great in the first place: intruiging lyrics and good music. The two songs "Pussy" and "Rammlied" sound more like they're from the Mutter era than post Rosenrot.
Pussy is similar to the song Amerika in the sense that if you speak English and not German, you might get the wrong idea because you don't get the whole picture, and you may not be familiar with the way Till writes his lyrics. If you don't speak German, translations might highly enhance this song for you. Consider it if you'd like. Musically, it's definitely somehting that anyone can enjoy; it sounds great! Rammlied is also a gem. It sounds as if it gets its roots from the song "Rammstein" off of Herzeleid. It put a new spin on an old classic, which resulted in something completely new. As a preview to the new album, this single was great... while the album wasn't yet released. Now that it is out, there wouldn't be much reason to get this single for the music; both featured songs are on the new album. Collectability is the only thing exclusive to the single now.

For the cd only containing two tracks it's pretty awesome! I was surprised to see it come with a two-sided poster! One one side is a pink poodle and the other is of the band members as females. I couldn't help, but smaile. Also the delivery was fast! I got it a week and one day before the estimated arrival! Just fantastic!

Like I said before.... this song is the DEFINITION of Rammstein... the only difference is you can UNDERSTAND IT! Look up the lyrics to some of they're other songs why don't you!

Lame Little Kitty of a Song,

For a group than can produce "classic" level material for them to fall back into something
as lame as this is beyond me. Come on Rammstein. You are better than this. Don't waste your talent with "Pussy" and "Buch Dich" type material.

I've been a HUGE Rammstein fan since 1997 when Du Hast came out. I have every studio album they've ever released, and will have the new one very soon. However, the P**** single is ridiculous and terrible. It does not sound like the Rammstein I'm used to. Sure, trying something new is sometimes good, but they failed miserably here. And don't even get me started on the video for the single. It just doesn't seem like them to do this. I don't recommend the single, and will get the full length version of their new album soon, and will post a new review on that. While Rammlied was average/below average, it's light years ahead of P****, although it didn't wow me, really, either.

Dear Rammstein,
Since you haven't figured it out, German-accented English was God's preemptive punishment of German people for everything they were ever going to do. It sounds ridiculous. In this case it takes what would be an "okay" song and pretty much makes it impossible to enjoy. The two stars are for comedic value and nothing more. Love, Todd

Abysmal.,
This review is from: Pussy (Audio CD)
Utterly stupid, horrifying joke of a song. I am still waiting to wake up as if from some bad nightmare. "Mom, Dad, I had a nightmare that Rammstein made a song with the lyrics, 'you have a pussy/ I have a dick-ah/ so what's the problem/ let's do it quick-ah'" The song is a piece of CRAP in every sense, musically, lyrically, and the video (as stated above) resorts to total x-rated pornography, featuring the band members getting it on with some chick. I suspect body doubles. Even Flake's turn as "Heeshie" wasn't enough of a twisted joke to redeem it. A bunch of forty-somethings wanting to get laid, that's all it even tries to say. There's nothing wrong with being forty....unless you're trying to be a teenager. And with these lyrics, even a teenage garage band would be EMBARRASSED. I have been a fan for years. I will NOT be purchasing this album (I saw the horror on-line), I'd give it NEGATIVE stars if I could, I will not see them on tour (even though I've always wanted to), and now I may in fact stop calling myself a fan altogether. Hideous.
