From page 1, Larry quickly draws you into his dysfunctionally funny world of bathroom emergencies, (many starring his boyhood buddies), Catskill capers (picking up chicks, 80's style), and endless do-it-yourself schemes (Flowbee anyone?) that seem to test the nerves of his unflappable, (but good natured), wife and unsuspecting neighbors and friends. Larry's knack for quirky slice-of-life story telling reminded me of Pulitzer Prize humor columnist, Dave Barry. Yes, Larry is that funny. Can a professional stand-up gig be far behind?

Fantastic collection of hilarious anecdotes. Not sure how so many funny things can happen to one single person...or is it the author's flair or knack in recognizing the humor in life and daily events. Short stories to brighten your mood and guaranteed to put a grin on your face! A must read.

So I was reading this book while on a plane heading out east & my seat mate & surrounding passengers thought I was crazy as I was literally crying from laughing so hard. Even now as I'm typing this, I can't stop laughing.....happy reading!

I cannot believe I paid for this book. A complete self indulgent, waste of time. I am a stand up comedian and there was not one worthy bit of laughter in this. Do not buy this!

This book evokes memories of the old time Catskills comedians who were storytellers. Be prepared to laugh and to groan at the mix of Jewish humor with a lifetime of memories. Somehow it all works and leaves a smile on your face.

I couldn't stop laughing, not just the first time I read it, but the next 2 times as well. But I thought it was just me. Then I let my mother look at it, she was visiting. We were playing a board game with some friends, and when you land on a white square everyone has to laugh for 1 minute. My mother, said, Wait, we need that book! She got up and came back with Put It In Your Act, read us a page and we were all laughing.
There are probably lots of people who won't get the jokes. But I got them all, I think, multiple times.

Larry's writing style allows for easy reading and visualization into his everyday, wacky life experiences. Many of the instances are just too cute and hilarious. I am encouraging my 14 and 20 year olds to read it as I am sure they will enjoy it too. I took away a star for devoting a few too many pages to the bathroom humor, funny as they were...
