5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful! For those who like Fred Astaire & Gene Kelly..., July 27, 1998

This music selection is wonderful! As a young teen in the early to mid-80's, I would spend hours ironing my clothes while listening to this cassette tape (I'm just now ordering the CD as I've nearly worn my tape to bits and as I have just now discovered it on Amazon.com); it made the time almost fly by. Taco gave a new twist to some of the "oldies," thus appealing to a wider audience. He also added some original creations that are quite captivating. I'm just surprised his music didn't catch on; goodness knows numerous prom themes and homecoming floats were inspired by his revival of "Putting on the Ritz." This CD is a charming, often humorous collection that has a "good beat." Be forewarned - you may find yourself tapping your feet and singing along! Actually, this is one of the few music selections my mother and I enjoy together. Whenever I can't find my tape, I know chances are good that she has borrowed it. I can't wait until my CD! arrives. However, in order to ever get to listen to it, I may need to order one for my mother as well. Happy listening!

If "Puttin' on the Ritz" by Taco doesn't put a smile on your face, check your pulse 'cause you may be dead. I've been listening to this album for 10 years, and have found it to be the perfect party music -- everyone loves it, from twenty-somethings to the swing generation. It makes you happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Vocalist and the Master of Beats, January 26, 2004

Oh Taco. If only we all had your sense of rhythmic style and grace and woodsman like masculanity, we wouldn't be trouble with all those fakers like 2Pac, 50 Cent, Randy Savage, and Falko. Taco is an inspiration to all those who enjoy contemporary, and up to date, music, ice cream, and long walks on the beach. This music can turn any situation into a romantic situation. "On the Ritz" is by far one of the most influential songs of our time, and "Over the Rainbow" started the whole remix fad. P-Diddy, you ain't got nothing on TACO!!!
