5.0 out of 5 stars One of The Best of the Celtophile Collection!, June 16, 2003

This review is from: Putting On Airs : A Collection of Celtic Airs (Audio CD)
The Celtophile collection of CDs is absolutely HUGE and it is sometimes hard to find the ones that you would like the most. These are great "primer" courses for people getting into Celtic/Irish music and show off a good number of great musicians. This CD is worth getting just for track 9 (An Feochan) a beautiful flute solo, and for track 13 (Rathlin Island) a fiddle solo. This is the reflective and often sad side of Irish music...and in my opinion often the most beautiful. If you want to dance though...get the "Jigs and Reels-Dance Music of Ireland" instead.
