A Great Book - Even if You're Not an Addict!,
By
This review is from: Putting Out the Fire of Addiction (Paperback)
One night while browsing on the Internet, I tried to purchase a book on success below the list price - by a second-hand provider on Amazon, but when I received my shipment, I was somewhat surprised and disappointed. Why? I'd received the title Putting Out the Fire of Addiction.I thought to myself, what the heck. I might as well read the book first - then send it back. I'll make a big stink about the mistake. So I sat down and started to read Putting Out the Fire of Addiction in a "might as well make the best of it" kind of mood. About two chapters into the book I felt a powerful urge to pull out my highlighter pen and underline key passages, but I held back, telling myself, "This book's going back, remember?" To make a long story short, this book did not go back. It has been underlined and will one day most likely be a rainbow of highlighter colors. Why? Because this book is definitely a keeper - to be treasured and read over and over. The pages are filled with enough love, hope, good advice and interesting stories to help any soul - troubled or not - plus keep the authors in good karma for the rest of eternity! If you are facing uncertainty in your life, or are struggling with addiction, or simply wanting to find your soul's proper journey, don't wait for some fluke mistake. I suggest that you add this book to your Amazon shopping cart immediately. And to Barry and Roger - Bravo on a job well done!

Useful,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Putting Out the Fire of Addiction (Paperback)
As a person in recovery I found many of the topics useful. Those in recovery would agree that as individuals there is not a "cookie cutter' method that works for everyone. We need to develope a toolbox for not only the now but the future as well. This book offers suggestions not found in mainstream gatherings. Good Job!
