5.0 out of 5 stars Putting the Power of Your Subconscious Mind to Work (2009)
This is a compilation of many excellent research and sermon ideas of Dr. Joseph Murphy, edited by Dr. Pell. The organization of the book into topics is excellent. The wisdom of Dr. Murphy is, as to be expected, metaphysical, psychological, Religious Science/Divine Science oriented. What I like most about Murphy's thoughts is the manner in which he draws valid and direct...

1.0 out of 5 stars Does the powering the subconscious require belief in God?
Honestly, I thought the book was misleading and weak. The author has very repetitive throughout the book with his consistent mentioning of God. The author sounded more like a preacher than a writer. I think it is highly misleading and confusing to people for an author to suggest individuals need a belief in God to believe in themselves. I think the author is clearly too...

What I like most about Murphy's thoughts is the manner in which he draws valid and direct applications, helping anyone to work through all kinds of limitations or difficulties. If you give his approach even a passing glance, much less a serious try, you will find marvelous changes in mind, heart, spirit, and lifestyle are yours--sometimes immediately! The wisdom here far exceeds today's pop psychology Rx's.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does the powering the subconscious require belief in God?, February 12, 2010
This review is from: Putting the Power of Your Subconscious Mind to Work: Reach New Levels of Career Success Using the Power of Your Subconscious Mind (Mass Market Paperback)
Honestly, I thought the book was misleading and weak. The author has very repetitive throughout the book with his consistent mentioning of God. The author sounded more like a preacher than a writer. I think it is highly misleading and confusing to people for an author to suggest individuals need a belief in God to believe in themselves. I think the author is clearly too attached to his own beliefs to understanding working with other beliefs. It's funny that the author consistently mentions how good God is without understanding what God is. If he understood the misleadings of the religious God, he may truly understand how to control his subconscious. Until then, religion controls his subconscious, not him.
