One of the best how-to-write books of the year!
Subtitled "Turning Sow's Ear Drafts into Silk Purse Stories," this may be the finest how-to-write book of the year. Resnick takes the reader through multiple drafts of his own award-winning stories, showing what he changed (and why). Features questions (and Resnick's answers) from readers who critiqued his drafts as he wrote them. Highly recommended.

A Total Waste of Time & Money
I thought this book wd help me with my writing, but it's all about Resnick's stories. Completely useless.

I suppose this volume assumes you know a few of the basics on writing, but how many gadzillion books are out there on that? The changes Resnick went through for "Elephants of Neptune" alone made the book worth the price. Don't just read what he has to say: See what he actually did! He took a semi-pro quality story and turned into a professional one. Resnick has my sincerest admiration.
