I was more than pleased with the puzzle map of the United States. As a child I can remember having one, and loving it. It was heavy-duty cardboard as I remember. Then when I grew up and had my own children I read an article that said there were several toys you should buy for your children if you want to raise geniuses, and one of them (not being a genius myself, I remember only one of them) was a puzzle map of the U.S. So my children always had one. And I have a wooden one that I keep here for my grandchildren. The Puzzibilities Deluxe map was bought for the grandson of a friend. I almost kept it in place of the one I have, it was so much nicer.

This puzzle is FANTASTIC! It is really great - colorful, durable, there is a transparent sheet you can put down first if you want to see the state outlines underneath - or if you want it a bit more challenging, do it without the transparency! Love this puzzle - lots of learning going on in the household with this around. I'm really glad we got this.

My two year old is fascinated by the states in this puzzle and their placement. Because the puzzle comes with a plastic insertable mat that goes on the bottom that has outlines of each state, it makes it a bit easier for a younger child to note the placement of each state. Each state piece is painted, too. That provided some color identification for pieces.

I purchased this toy for my [...] old to educate her on where her Daddy travels each week. Initially, she played with the pieces and watched me put them back together. A month later, she is able to put all of the pieces together with a little help from me. Each piece do slide away a little bit, if you do not have the top, bottom, left or right piece to anchor it. (thus it is a puzzle). But, for a two year old, it could be a little difficult. What a great learning tool! She can say most of the states. I love how she says "Mis-pi" for Mississippi. She looks forward to playing with this map everyday.

my son is 2 and absolutely loves this puzzle, we play with it everyday, he now knows 42 states! the states are good size and the puzzle is very thick & durable. love it!

I purchased this for my 4 year old grandson. He loves it and can get the states placed in the correct order! Glad I bought it!

I agree with other posters - my 4 year old son loves putting this together and is quickly learning all the states. It is durable and fun. BUT, I am very disappointed that my order, from KiddielandToys, didn't come with the insert mentioned in other reviews. It would make it a lot easier for my son to do the puzzle without help.

My 2 year old loves this puzzle. I supervise her though because some of the pieces are small. It's a great learning tool though!
