Book Description

* Thank you for your purchase. All funds go towards the ongoing medical bills of a cancer survivor and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.

Welcome to Hanoi Puzzle Deluxe.

This eBook, specifically designed for Kindle, contains 16 different INTERACTIVE puzzles based on the classic "Tower of Hanoi" problem developed by Edouard Lucas.

This implementation provides the player with 16 distinct challenges to keep you occupied for many hours of game play.

The traditional puzzle is included with 4-disc, 5-disc, 6-disc, 7-disc, 8-disc AND EVEN 9-disc versions of the puzzle. The 9-disc implementation is the most challenging and it alone contains an incredible 19,683 unique valid game states! (And, yes, they are all painstakingly included.)

In addition, 10 "Special Challenges" have been included to extend the life and challenge, even after all of the standard variations have been defeated. The challenges are all based on mid-game states of the 8- and 9-disc puzzles. Think of the challenges as though someone else started playing the puzzle and left it in an unfinished condition. Did they know what they were doing? Can you figure out how to complete their work?

We are proud to bring you so many unique and challenging INTERACTIVE variations of this timeless puzzle for your Kindle reader. This project is the culmination of many weeks of planning, design, implementation, and testing to ensure the best possible experience to you the player. In the end, we hope you enjoy the fruits of the labor!

Don’t forget to look for other projects from us in the future. Now go get puzzling and have fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Husband says this is maddening but fun December 24, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The first puzzles start off really easy and they get VERY tough as you add more discs to the starting configuration. I can only do 6 discs maximum, but the game let's you start with up to 9.

I had never heard of the Tower of Hanoi, but my husband had and said it's "famous."

He's played it on the toughest difficulty and has solved it once after working on it a long time. He says it is maddening, but still he keeps going back to it time and again. There are a bunch of different "challenges" that consist of beginning with different partially-completed starting configurations and trying to solve the puzzle from that point on.

I have fun with it on the easier difficulties but won't be trying the hard ones. My husband likes the challenge.

My only complaint is that we both can't have different games going on at the same time. But I guess that's no different than two people trying to read a book at once.

Between the two of us we'll play this a lot for $0.99. I definitely recommend if this type of thing is "your cup of tea."

2.0 out of 5 stars confusing instructions March 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've never played the game before. The rules are confusing and I don't understand why I can't do certain moves. I haven't played it much since downloading it.

More About the Author

Keith's regular career (whenever he has active project work) is as a self-employed Control System & Automation Engineer. But he enjoys making people laugh (mostly through humorous stories, but occasionally simply from his looks) and/or making people think, which explains his passion for creating puzzles and games.

Keith focuses on this side pursuit whenever he has the time available (and sometimes even when he doesn't).

It serves as great stress relief and also helps out financially as proceeds from all of his sales are used to offset steep medical expenses for his wife who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
