I really enjoy assembling things, but this kit house was so badly made it took away alot of the enjoyment. It took alot of time, tools and wood pautty to make it look at all decent. I was very disappointed in the quality.

The lack of clear instructions is normal, but I found several places where the numbering of the pieces was wrong or missing so it took some thought and work to figure out how sections went together.

I have done several dollhouse kits in the past without this much hassle.

I've done a couple other wood puzzles before with no problems, so I was expecting this one to be the same but it wasnt.
Usually I only use glue on a few of the parts since it usually is solid without it, but this one took much more glue than ones I've done in the past. Some pieces especially some of the roof structures were very rickety without it.
One other qualm I had was the stairs in this house compared to another dollhouse of the same company I had done before. The actual steps barely rest in between the rails, and when i tried gluing them together it was quite hard to even hold them in place without half of the steps fall out..
Finally, expecting the house to have more space than the one I had done in the past(linked below) I was dissapointed to find out that I could barely fit my hand (and I have small hands) into the attic with all the decorative whatever sticking out. And the stairs take up space to leave you with only 3 small rooms compared to the ample 5 rooms of the other dollhouse. Also much of the furniture is too big to fit into the tiny rooms :(

Overall as a decorative piece to put on a shelf and admire, it is passable. But if your expecting to actually use the furniture inside the house and be able to play with it, it fails. I would suggest this other dollhouse by creatologyCreatology Wooden Puzzle: Dollhouse 3-D Wood Puzzle with the furniture as it is able to fit a majority of the furniture inside all at once.

do not buy this
firstly it doesn't even have instructions.
just numbers that help you match things.
like when two pieces go together it says 1 and 1.
or 95 and 95.
its not so bad but two pieces both had the same number and one was a decoration for the house and the other was a wall. it would be IMPOSSIBLE to fit the two together.
it does this 7 times. i am twelve years old and it was sort of fun at first but then got hard. plus the things are totally mixed up. the pieces of the lamp in the front were split up on 5 different wood sheets.so if your trying to find somthing you have to look at the whole thing. evry single sheet, and let me tell you that is not fun.
and the "instructions" are on the back of the of the box.
and half the pieces didnt fit and stay together
DO NOT BUY THIS

What other people are saying about the quality of this model is true... it's not so great, but I had a lot of fun putting it together anyway. The only thing that made the poor quality okay for me was that I found it at a craft store (Michael's) for under $15. Sellers on amazon are asking close to $50 for it, and it's totally not worth that price. So, I recommend this model if you can find it somewhere other than Amazon.

I bought this at micheals for like 13 dollars. For that price it was a great deal! For the price here, not so much. I bought it for my fairy garden, painted it as I was putting it together which worked great. There was one piece missing near the end which I had to fabricate from another, but other than that it was all there. I Krylon'd it to help with the weather which got it through the summer (all I needed). I would say this took about 1 week about 5 hours a night, but there weren't too many moments of wanting to smash the thing so I would call that a success! As far as size the finished product is like 1 foot tall, so not huge and does take some nimble hands at points. Overall everything is done in a good order for the instructions outside of one piece that wasn't even on the puzzle boards.

This little house was so much fun for me, that I am currently on here shopping for a bigger one to do with my foreign exchange student this winter!

I saw this one and couldn't help commenting.

DONT BUY

it took me about 2.5 hours to label and punch all the pieces out. They come in big sheets that need punched out, so there's no possibility for missing or incomplete sets, which is nice. And that's where the positives end.

Took about 2 hours to put together, one sitting for an adult using the picture as reference. But NONE of the pieces fit together properly. I knew it would take some minor sanding but thought that they would generally fit once glued, NOPE. it sits in my house right now, kinda put together but me unwilling to completely resand pieces into fitting. It would take hours and hours for me to reshape all the pieces that need to be so the joints will actually fit together. I wanted a fun puzzle, not to spend hours with a dremmel carving out a doll house. other reviews state that you need glue to hold it together, which you definitely do (I took this as it's unstable without glue), but I didn't think It wouldn't even fit together without hours of glueing and sanding.

I loved it. I didn't mind not having exact instructions, because I love to do puzzles. It only took me a couple of hours to put together, and it is a very beautiful doll house!! I would recommend this. But if your not good at puzzles, you may want to think twice. The instructions do suck.

Pieces and cuts did not line up well. The roof did not fit well at all with large spaces in between the roof line and top of house. I could have used tools and machines to produce the finished product I wanted, but I had already started to glue in the beginning and there was no turning back. Cheap product. Cheap design.

Just wanted to let everyone know this IS NOT THE SAME kit as sold in Michaels for $13. I have both sets and this one is much larger and more detailed. The assembly is not too hard but then again I'm an adult and pretty handy with construction toys. If you take your time and paint the dollhouse, the end result will be quite stunning. I plan on using Playmobil figures with this Victorian villa
