This puzzle book is hysterical! I thought it would be a puzzle book just for little kids, and the puzzles would all just be really easy, but I love Lemony Snicket and puzzles, so I got it anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this book has just as much Lemony Snicket humor as the series. Seriously, the puzzles are hysterical. And you have to read all the answers, because that's where most of the funny parts are. The puzzles aren't very challenging, but it's very fun. I'm in college, and I and my friends have loved looking through this book.

If you aren't a fan of the Snicket Series, you will probably find this book puzzling and bothersome. If you read the Series books, though, you'll probably find it hilarious! Some puzzles are easy, some are simply impossible, and most of them are meta-puzzles based on your understanding of the world in which the Baudelaires live. Definitely read the answers, even if you solved the puzzle. You will be surprised at the puzzles you missed along the way! If you loved the books, you need to get this one too!

My child (9) and I, too, enjoyed the brain teasers, puzzles and games included here. My child liked the fact that they were often based on and referred to the books (not always the obvious plot lines either..) and I liked the fact that the teasers weren't "typical" and the answers not obvious. Part of the premise is that the reader is in training to be a member of V.F.D.

Fun and entertaining. I would recommend to any child (and parent) who owns the books.

Puzzling Puzzles was to be a gift for my grandson, who adores all the Unfortunate Events books. Unfortunately, my copy, which was listed as in Very Good condition, arrived with many of the puzzles already solved, in ink. Other pages were torn. The book was never given to its intended reader, so I have no idea how he much he might have enjoyed. it. At least the problem was resolved, both by Amazon, which gave me a credit for the price when I complained and returned Puzzling Puzzles, and the vendor. Following my negative rating, the vendor resolved the issue by giving mt a $5 Amazon gift card.

They don't call it The Puzzling Puzzles for nothing! These puzzles ARE puzzling, but they are fun and they are humorous! It's a great book to take on a car trip! Enjoy!

I gave this book to three grandsons who are really into video games. While this book didn't totally take them away from playing video games, they were intrigued and challenged by this. Even their mom got in on the act and tried to solve a puzzle. Fun stuff, if you like Lemony Snicket.

I thought this was a great book for my 10 year old daughter who loves all the series books. She loves this puzzle book also.

I bought it for my 8 yr old granddaughter and I could barely answer the puzzles and I was a MENSA. It will be a few years before Hannah gets it.
