The Pyle Pro P1001AT is the perfect solution if you are looking for a High-Fidelity Preamplifier and a Power Amplifier all in one. This Receiver / Preamp features two sets of RCA inputs, RCA line out for recording, RCA preamp out, 2 Mono RCA's for subwoofer output, and iPod and MP3 player input via 3.5mm Cable. Seperate gain control for preamp and subwoofer channels makes it easy to fine tune the levels of your audio. The P1001AT produces 1000 Watts Peak power, 450 Watts @ 2 ohm, 360 Watts @ 4 ohm, and 200 Watts @ 8 ohm. I have to admit it, the pretty blue lights sucked me in....1000 watts? Cool.
Then it arrived. I took it out of the box, looked ok, I noticed there were no batteries included for the remote. Kinda turned me off. Reputable brands ALWAYS include remote batteries. I hooked it up and turned it on. First thing I noticed was the volume knob was sorta warped...when I turned it, I could tell it wasn't attached flush to the unit. It turned crooked. As soon as I ran a signal into it, the hellaciously loud fan roared to life. I run a home studio, so silently running units is a must, but this was ridiculous. So loud I couldn't hear myself think. The illuminated graphic meter displayed the same readout on every band no matter what signal was fed into the unit. Purely a cosmetic light effect. Not functional at all. The remore DID NOT WORK at all. I was very disappointed, swore a little bit to myself and boxed the piece of crap up and shipped it back that afternoon. If you want pretty blue lights, that's what you will get. Don't expect anything else. Amazon promptly refunded my money. I'm afraid what would happen if I kept the unit beyond the "return period". P.S. I only rated it a star because Amazon forces you to rate the product something...

This Pre Amp is very low quality.
Granted its just over a hundred bucks, but if you buy it, IMO this will be a waste of $100+ The quality of sound is horrible... it is NOT my speakers or wires, anything like that. The features are minimal and there are 2 fairly awkward handles in the front of this thing. They make it so it wont fit inside of the entertainment center, thats not that big of a deal, since I think the handles might be removable. But overall this is a complete waste of money. I am hoping that I can return this with no issue!

Excellent for karaokee, sound very good. I would recommend this amplifier the to the people who likes karaokee. I am very happy with this Pyle amplifier.
