This Pyle TV/DVD player combo unit was designed for use in the car, but it's also a great fit in the kitchen, while traveling, or even at the campground. Many compact TVs are merely small, sacrificing picture quality for portability. This model is anything but chintzy, however, with a high-quality 7-inch TFT LCD screen that delivers crisp, lifelike pictures for both DVDs and traditional TV programming (it includes a built-in NTSC tuner). Among the impressive (and rare) features are a 16:9 aspect ratio, DTS support, and multi-angle playback. The multilingual onscreen menu appeals to a wide cross-section of users, as does the V-chip parental control, which restricts access to mature programming. The TV also expands beyond mere video playback, with CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3 compatibility.

The TV connects to outside components through the two AV inputs, a single AV output, and a digital coaxial output. The PL-TVD7P also comes with a cigarette lighter plug for car use, along with a pair of headphone jacks for people (such as kids in the backseat) who want to listen in private. For added portability, the screen folds down on top of the DVD player.
