Don't be fooled by the low price. I thought I would purchase these speakers to replace some stock speakers in my truck. I really didn't think they would sound as good as they do, but I did think they would be better then the stock units I had.
They sound great! The lows, mids and highs are very clear. What a bargain, price was perfect and they sound great. I have bought more expensive speakers in the past, and these sounded just as good as them if not better.

The quality and performance of these speakers is outstanding. The speaker itself is structurally sound and well manufactured. The performance is very good. The bass/midrange is powerful and tight (not muddled or soupy), the treble is very clear and crisp. For the price, these can't be beat. Unless you demand the best of the best, these are your speakers. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't be looking at these speakers anyway. I'm buying more for my other cars. They are great upgrades from factory speakers.

I just installed them in my Ford Probe and they produce a very good sound, they didn't distort as I went with the volume up as high as I could.
I like the fact that you can get such a good sound for such a good price.

I have a 2 thousand dollar system and when my door pods blow I bought these to put in until I got the money for some new 6.5 mids.I think I am going to keep them. They dont pound the bass but they can handle 50 watts darn good. All in all a great door speaker if you have a componant system and dont need them for all the sound.

These have worked and sounded excellent since I installed them. I installed them into the doors of a Chevy Metro with a 45W x 4 CD/radio head unit.

No one will argue that these speakers are cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are actually quite good on the highs and mid-range and if that's all you need (ie. if you have a seperate sub-woofer or don't listen to music with much bass) then you can't beat the value. But trust me, if you listen to music with any significant amount of bass these speakers will start to distort at mid-volume level and just sound bad any louder than that. I checked the tech specs. and found the frequency response only goes down to about 90Hz vs other higher-end speakers which generally go down to 30-50Hz.

If you are looking for a cheap speaker, with full sound, I wouldn't look too much further. They sound good, and were a great replacement for my old factory speakers.

I got these speakers for a temporary change of my stock speakers cause they were cheap and at the time i was on a budget. I never would've thought that i would get this type of quallity from these speakers. I hooked it up to my head unit and boy did they get loud. Unfortunatly at full blast it had some notable distortion, so i keeped the volume down about half way, and believe me that was loud enough. I have one of those tuner exhaust systems on my car so i needed to drown it out with music and these did the trick. Later on i hooked these bad boys up to an amp, and tuned it properly. After that they weren't just loud, they were screaming down the block. At full volume there was no distortion to be found. Hooked up to the head unit, good speakers, hooked up to an amp, great speakers and highly recommended.

I purchased these speakers to install in my 98 Saturn SL2. The stock speakers were still in good condition and sounded OK. I figured that anything would be better than the stock speakers and at $25.00, it was worth taking a chance.
The OEM speakers are an odd size (6.75") so I did have to drill four holes, which wasn't a big deal. I spliced the wiring instead of doing a re-wire job. As another reviewer said, the wire supplied with the speakers are thin. I ended up exposing twice the length of wire than I normally would and doubling it up to give the butt connector more to crimp on to. After installing one side, I played some music to compare the speakers. What a difference! The highs were much improved. The voices were clearer, cymbals were more distinct, and on acoustical music you could really hear the sound of the fingers as they slid across the guitar strings. I'm more of a "highs" person so these speakers fit the bill perfectly. I'm older now and don't need the bass to rattle the fillings in my teeth. Even so, the bass response of the Pyle was more than a pleasant surprise. There was some added "thump." I have a habit of checking the rear view mirror when I'm at a stop. I noticed that it was vibrating to the bass of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise." When I checked the side view mirrors, they were vibrating also. This never happened with the stock speakers, no matter how loud I played the music. (I'm using just a Sony CDXGT340 head unit rated at 208 watts with no external amplifier.) I don't play the music loud all the time, but I do crank it up every so often when volume adds to the listening experience, such as with Black Sabbath, Van Halen, for example. I haven't noticed any distortion and the speakers have held up so far. Even though I wasn't expecting much from these speakers, they've greatly exceeded my expectations and were a nice surprise. In fact, I just ordered another set for the rear! Comparable name brand speakers cost $80.00-100.00 here locally. At $25.00, these speakers are a great bargain and well worth the price.

Oustanding Value,

I purchased 2 sets of PL-63BL speakers. These speakers deliver an outstanding price/performance value. A little bright/tinny in the highs, but a reduction in treble takes care of that, and saves a few watts. The bass is lacking and a subwoofer is definitely welcome to help pick up the bottom 2 octaves. Overall, as replacements for OEM speakers, you cannot go wrong. I would highly recommend the Pyle PL-63BL speakers to those on a budget.
