this sub i awesome it hits pretty hard for being an eight. I have a 500 watt 2 channel CRUSH amp it bridged and i running about 260 watts and you can feel it it my hardbody truck

I got tired of lugging around the Alpine 12 inch in the Alpine enclosure (like 60lbs) so I got two of these and they are both running off of my 700W single channel Alpine amp. They sound awesome in my hatchback.

I BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS, AND WOW! IT HANDLES ALL THE HIGHS, AND LOWS PERFECTLY! THE DUAL VOICE COILS TRULY DOES IT'S JOB WITH GIVING CLEAR SOUND. IT WAS A PERFECT ADDITION TO NOT ONLY THE RECIEVER, BUT THE SPEAKER BOXES THAT I BOUGHT FOR THEM AS WELL! THANK YOU AMAZON FOR SELLING ME SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT!

I have owned other Pyle products and in fact I have a pyle amp that was powering this subwoofer, not sure how or why but that amp was rated under what this subwoofer was and this product only lasted 5 days and failed, it no longer works. The magnet appears to be intact and the cone will move when pressed upon. If you hold the cone in all the way, it will try to make sound. This is the first time I have ever had a bad product from Pyle. Not sure what to say about it.

I got these about a year ago. I only needed one, but bought the set for a spare. 6 months ago the 1st one started to crackle, so I installed the spare. I just found that it's blown completely. They were running on a 200 watt amp.

I'm not going to compare this sub to all the others. I didn't like how it took more then a week to get to me. But I like the looks of it and its better for a mid woofer. It works fine for me! I have a 600watt spl that's turn just a little more then half way down and the sub is bridged and dropped down to a 2 Ohm. It's not giving me any problems. I'd say hook it up right and you'll have a good sud or a great midbass woofer.

I was skeptical in purchasing this item, so I read the reviews and saw that most people were satisfied with the Pyle 8 subwoofer. First off I must give props to Amazon for such quick Delivery. The presentation on this item is good nice colors and it makes it look like you spent a ton on bucks. The performance on these speakers has been great. I dont have a competition sound in my Expedition but the bass out of these speakers is awsome. They do their job and for the way I'm using them they sound good. I guess good things do come in small packages.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I bought one and it sounds great when it works. It lasted about 1year until the connection went bad, high resistance 2300ohms. I switched to the other side connections and it lasted about 4 more months. Just out of warranty. It was affordable so I bought a second one. It lasted about 3 months before connections failed and I switched to the second connections that lasted about 2 more months. It was still under warranty. I emailed Pyle twice about my registered products explaing problem with both units. I also put in a RMA. No response at all from Pyle. I use these in a stock premium audiophile 9006 system which is not over powered by a long shot. This must be why there are so many at low price flooding the market.

The sound on this sub is great. However in the item description it mention that the speaker was a new speaker. When i received it there was a crack at the bottom. Still works though, However I prefer to have a new one :/

I bought these to replace some worn out paper speaker in my work shop. They are okay all around speakers with plenty of mid range sound and some bass. I think its a stretch to call these sub woofers. But they sound okay, they look cool and the price was right. I would buy them again if the application does not call for true high-fi.
