This kit includes a nightvision-capable rear view camera and monitor for your vehicle. The rear view camera mounts easily above your license plate and outputs crystal clear video over an RCA jack. Connect to the included 3.5” monitor in your car, and you’ll be able to see everything behind you on the screen!
Perfect for backing into tight spots or moving in reverse when visibility is limited – it’s like having an extra eye. And this model comes with nightvision LEDs, which illuminate the area behind you at night. This small and durable unit will keep you safe and secure because you’ll always know what’s going on around you. And the monitor has two inputs, so you can also use it as a screen for a portable DVD player or iPod. Drill cutout tool for camera included.
The PLCM35R features LED lights, which light up the area around your camera, so you can see more clearly in the dark.
Your camera is protected from the elements since it’s built with weather protected housing. That way you can drive safely no matter the weather.
The PLCM35R can be installed easily on your existing license plate mounting locations, and is suitable for both top as well as bottom mount on the license plate.
This camera also features RCA video output for connecting to other source inputs. Use your camera with a review mirror monitor, an existing in-dash TV, a DVR, or any other RCA-compatible video input.

Easy installation. Works as expected, very clear during day, but in the night is a little poor.....maybe I expected to much. I m thinking install an extra reverse light in order to improve a better night vision. Anyway I m going to buy another one for the other car.

Put this on a 2010 Chevy Silverado crew cab, went in very easy. The supplied video cable was a little short needed about 4 more feet the way i routed it)but was an easy fix with an extension for the video cable. I ran the camera and the monitor to a toggle switch. It works great! really appreciate the fact they supplied a hole cutter in order to fit the camera where ever you decide to put it. I will be buying another for my wife. Easy to install and great picture!Pat West Missouri Valley, Iowa

Installed this backup camera on a Tahoe. It took several hours to do.
Per other reviews I tested it out before installing and it worked fine out of the box. Used it for a week so far and it is well worth the price. Worked OK in the rain. Not particularly "good" video, but fully functional - a real comfort to know someone or something is not behind me when backing up. I've adjusted the camera pointing angle several times to get max coverage - the 90deg field-of-view is just barely enough. The included hole saw bit cut through the aluminum for the mounting plate I created in a few seconds. The cables were more than long enough. I mounted the camera to the plate and to the rear bumper using bolts designed to keep license plates from being purloined. Tapped into a license plate light wiring to get camera power. Overall - well worth $53. Functional.
