Best baseline model,
By JonDeath "Death" (Hell!) - See all my reviews

Basically Pyle is one of your respected "Brand-X" manufacturers.Compared to all the baseline models having these features, you're getting the same exact features and quality the major commercial name brands give you for $100+ more. Good touch screen, good EQ options with a super bass mode and loudness control. More than ample ins and outs on the rear deck. Plenty of power but obviously outboard amps are a necessity these days. Great radio reception, I grab all my favorite city based radio stations just about anywhere I go which is from up to 50+ miles away. Remote has plenty of interface controls. Disc loading is fast, aux, USB/SD reading is instant and plays Divx the same it would off disc. All your settings menus are incredibly thorough as well, lots of options to suit any of your needs. My only complaint is to put the SD card in, you have to pop the face place off. Beyond that it's a really good baseline unit for the money. Much better than my Jensen bought a couple years earlier. For the money it has thoroughly earned 5 stars.

This headunit is a great value. It does everything it says. For the price you can't beat it. When I first ordered it I was kinda nervous; My biggest concern was picture quality. I expected it to be very pixeled because of the low price and lower name brand. But the picture is great! The only thing that this unit doesn't have that higher end units do is GPS. But you can purchase an upgraded model that does. I don't need it since I have GPS in my Droid-x. The installation was a breeze. For anyone with any experience, it was very self explanatory. The manual is horrible as others said because it is translated from another language but all the wires are very clearly marked. There is a safety feature on this unit so that you can't watch video while driving. I thought it defeated the purpose of buying this unit; since I wanted video for my pasengers to watch while I drive. But don't worry it is VERY easy to bypass. All you must do is connect the pink "parking brake" wire to ANY ground on your vehicle. I must mention that this is illegal in the US so therefore I'm not telling you to do it. By the way I found a crappier unit in walmart that didn't have all the features this one has and it was $100 more! So definitely a great buy in my opinion. Oh, 1 more thing. I was a lil nervous playing a dvd while driving because I'm in the process of redoing the suspension in the truck that I have this installed in. So the ride is VERY rough and bumpy right now. BUT, my DVD NEVER skipped so far. Not even once. Hope this helps! Thank you everyone else for your feedback I really appreciate it to help me make informed buying decisions.

I bought this car DVD player by the end of May 2011, I spent $300 for installation, it was working when I left the shop, next day I put a DVD disk in it, it stuck inside the player and never can get it out. I drove back to the installer, he removed the player, I returned it to Amazon, I lost my DVD disk because it was stuck in the player. Amazon is always fair to their customers, they shipped out another one right away before they got back the defective one. When the new replacement Pyle PLTS77DU came, I brought it to the installer again to put it on, after the player was installed, the detachable face computer is not working properly with the player, it was a totally broken DVD player. After I shipped the second defective player back to Amazon, I called Amazon Customer Service, the one who answered the phone was located in overseas, Philippine, he spoke very good english, I tried to explain to him the problems in this situation, he hung up the phone to me. I think the manufacturer did not make final inspection at all before they put their products in the market. Two brand new Pyle products, they are all defective. I am really depressed and frustrated with the cost of installation, the trips to the installed shop, the trips to ship them back and the credit card charge twice asking for their refunds and the current ugly dashboard without a DVD. I am still thinking buying a car DVD in a local Walmart, if the merchandises you bought having problems, you definitely can get back your money just like the slot machine.

I live in KY and I was so excited to recieve this radio since my Jensen had stoped playing CD/DVD! The day it came in the mail I had it put in and I even bought the PYLE camera to go with it. When we took it out of the box, I loved the way it looked(much better than the Jensen)But after it was installed and I put a DVD in to watch, when the screen fliped out, the whole screen was cracked down the middle :-( I was so disappointed...And when I tried to use the touchscreen, it didnt work, (not sure if it was because of the screen being cracked or not) so I had to return it and they shipped out a replacement very fast but also charged me for shipping which I thought was crazy since it was their fault they had to ship a replacement! But once the other one came and I had it installed, I like it. The replacement works fine. Only complaint is that I like my music loud and it isnt very loud and when u turn it up loud it sounds crappy, so I am gonna get a AMP and SUBS to try to get it to sound better.

My wife got me this for Father's Day and I am so happy with it. I got Aux plugs and I can hear music off my Droid and if I get a phone call it comes right thru my speakers. The touch screen is nice and with the back up cam I got with it I can see in front and behind me. Only pet peeve is that the screen will come out when I back up but wont turn the music on until it retracts and I have to press the button for it to turn on, but otherwise it's a steal and a bargain for the price. You, yeah you. The one sitting there reading my review. Get one, you wont be disappointed.

The technical support at Pyle is horrible the picture quality is good, there is a way to by pass the "stop watch video" just look it up on line. Over all happy with the unit. Good luck on talking to technical support they do not know jack.

Pyle 7" touch screen monitor,

This thing does just about everything you can think of. I am not very tech savvy and already had a cheap back-up camera system installed so I had my old monitor replaced with this one and it works great. Cool that it's motorized. I have only had it for a few weeks, have not used all the functions, but I am very happy with this touch screen so far, a great way to upgrade your system, at a very affordable price.
