5.0 out of 5 stars Pyle Pro 231 Equillizer, May 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pyle PPEQ231 2-Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer (Electronics)
Being very familiar with the Pyle PPEQ -215 Dual Band Graphic Equalizer (I've owned two of these for about three years with no problems) it's a breeze doing a review of the Pyle PPEQ-231 2 -Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer. The main difference between the two is that the latter is double the selectivity. Expressed in the following is data copied directly from the instruction book with specifications for both: Dual channel 15 band 2/3 octave graphic equalizer (1H series);
Dual channel 31 band 1/3 octave graphic equalizer (2H).
I use the 231 in my (humble) system in the garage where I have a work shop. If you first listened to this system before my announcing what it contained - speakers, amplifier, etc. - it would be difficult for you to believe that I hadn't cross-patched into a multiple-thousand-dollar rig. What introduced me to the 215 - above - was a severe problem with two moderately expensive bass speakers: their performance was 100% totally inferior / unacceptable / intolerable. In their original state - without equalization - the volume was weak / dull / pathetic. With the 215 installed and well-adjusted - which to reiterate is basically much the same as the 231 (only the 231 is better with improved selectivity, as mentioned earlier) - it was literally like sitting in at Carnegie Hall. The level I like to run my volume is just a "thread" below a blare. That gives maximum / optimum / supreme presence. All three of our systems have the same very highly-desirable state of presence--making you feel like you are right there at the origin of the audio project, or vice-versa with the audio source right in your very own home.
