If you are expecting to buy something of the quality of a crest, crown, or bgw. This amp is not really for you. This amp compared with other knock offs is quite nice. Yes the back panel looks a little cheap. This is not a touring amp. It will make a nice stationary amp. If you are a weekend warrior, treat your equipment nicely, and or are doing a fixed install this is the amp for you.
I am using two or these amps for live sound at the moment. I think they are far better suited to DJ-ing and music playing which I also do. I am not a sound pro. I am a stage hand who does small level sound often enough. I am a sound enthusiast. I do not label things based on brands but on results. This amp is a good bit lighter then my older crest cpx 900 and 1500 crest clones. I have also owned a real crest cpx 900. So I can compare this throughly. This one has a thinner sheet metal case then the older versions and the legitimate crest version. It has smaller heat sinks and smaller transformer. It still preforms though. It also is a fair bit lighter due to everything being smaller. Hence I say this is more a install and like useage amp then a heavy peavey or beefy qsc ( I have owned both of those as well) I do not get where pyle pro comes out with the 3000 watt claim. The giant head room blah blah blah. I would say its fair give this amp a legit power rating of 900-1200 watts ( comparing to other amps). This amp will lay down 150-200 watts at 8 ohms not questioned asked. It probably does more but I was not trying to run it to clip. It runns easily in 4 ohms and I have yet to try 2 ohms. The possiblity is nice is you need to daisy chain speakers and run them at a lower level. Lots of monitors or something. This amp has enough juice to run my 15 inch subs, at 4 ohms and make a nice thump. It is a 33 by 100 room. I also tried these out on a set of JBL eon 1500 passive 15 inch mains. They worked nicely. Right now I have one running my small 8 inch monitors. Again the amp is working well. The cross over on the back is a dream. I love that you can link the amps with no other hardware. You can configure them in bridged mono, mono signal to stereo out. etc etc. It is a very versatile amp. I heard no distortion yet in the audio thus far. I can also say I am happy with these do the price I got them at. I would say 196 free shipping is a fair price. I would wait and look for something more like 175-150 to be really happy at what you get. It is worth the 200 but it just feels so much better to know you got it at a really good price. Also I hear that pylepro has some quality check issues. Well thing can get botched in shipping. I must either be lucky or I know to buy from quality stores who pack things well. Accidents do happen though. Just return it and try again. I am a person who runs tri and bi amped systems. If I were running a passive cross over set up I would probably opt for a simpler amp with more raw power. Being that I run a more modern system is why again I chose this amp. Over all and thus far I am very pleased. I may even get some more pictures of it up.

The pyle PTA3000 is a good amp.for D-J services. It has power & can be used for sub-woofers driver, plus built in crossover used for an second amp for front stage speakers. The plye PTA3000 is the brain for a bi-amped or tri-amped system. I,m waiting for the chance to put it to the test at a hall or outside with my pylepro sub-woofers & main pylepro stage speakers. With the pylepro EQ (ppeq100) it really bumps up the solid sound that you want. In the future iwill order the pylepro(pasw18)1000 watts 18" stage sub-woofers for the ultimate spl levels you can feel inside.Over all i studied up & have knowledge of how to hook up equipment for the best results. From D-J oldskool Mr.Groove.

When I ordered this amplifier I did not expect it to be in use a whole lot. For this reason I could not justify spending my dollar on a QSC or Crown with equal power (let's pretend for a moment that the rated power of a given amp is an objective measurement). So, when I saw a built in crossover, 2 ohm stable, damping of greater than 300 at full power and the rms power bridged at this price....I was sold.
The amp came and it was exactly as I expected. Constructed of thin mental, not a real solid feel but I wasnt going to hold that against the amp, if it was a performer. So, I took it to an open farm to see what she could do. The amp was bridged mono @ 4omhs to two 18" subs. What a test. I fired it up and the system was going. Did it play loud? yes. Did it sound good? ....well, not really. There was not a lot of control in the bass. There was also a loud popping to the bass, very annoying for listeners. It almost sounded as if the subs were bottoming out from over excursion, but I knew this could not be the case. So, I turned to a 1200 watt QSC amp(less than half the rated power of the Pyle)to see if I had a subwoofer issue. Wow, the bass sounded so much better, so much more natural and they could be driven just as hard. Do keep in mind the QSC was twice the $$. Unfortunately, this amp is now dead. It continuously blows fuses every time it is powered on. I only used it on two brief occasions. I am attempting to send it back to Pyle but shipping costs have me wondering if it will be worth it. Going forward I will probably stick to QSC, Crest, Crown and Peavey. However, if this amp was still working I would possibly recommend it for a weekend bbq with friends setup...maybe.

Amplifier arrived defective. Plugged it in and it became hot to the touch after a few minutes with no source playing and eventually overheated and shut down.

This amp is very comparable watt per dollar to most amps out there. IT lacks all the fancy interfaces that the newer model amp has but it can give really good sound at medium volumes but once the clipping starts it's over. The only problem you will have with this amp is it doesn't have the head room that most pro amps have if you try to push it too hard it will distort. But this is true for all amps. the 45hz that the crossover is set too is the sweet spot for bass and the high frequency is set more for mid than highs but it songs great. With a nice EQ you can't tell it is not high quality digital amp; until you try to turn it up too loud. This amp does not take kindly to being overdriven with input. It is two ohm stable which is a great thing and can save on buying a second amp. Runs very cool even at full blast and draws very little power. You can run subs on one channel and highs and midrange on the other, with the low-cut feature built into either side you can enable the low cut for the side with the highs and leave it defeated on the subs side. The fact that you can play four eight ohm subs on one side and still run highs and midrange; this amp saves you the trouble of buying another. It can be run with balanced inputs or balance inputs. The amp can use raw wires binding post and spekon outputs. It is a little heavy for its true watts; which I think is around 250 RMS, but at the price I am pleased. This is very good value for money. If you are just getting in to DJ Services, two of these will do you good; until you can afford to invest in QSC and Crown amps. No quality issues with the one I got. It has been very reliable and consistent on all gigs I have played so far. PS I also own grown XTI 4000 and XTI 2000 thousand and the power of this amp is about equal to the 2000 less the fancy built in DSP. I would recommend this to any DJ for small indoor events.
