I had to give up my acoustic drum set when I moved to a new apartment because the neighbors never would have stood for the noise. This electric drum kit has been a life saver though. I'm really happy with all of the features it has and now I get to stay on top of my drumming practice without worrying about bothering anyone with noise. The pads are all really responsive too. Very happy with this overall.

My son who is a twelve year old beginner at the drums wanted a set for his birthday. The electronic set, I thought would be a good start, so i could try to control his volume. happy i went this route. He is able to practice without bothering the rest of the family, and the ability to pack the kit away easily when needed is fantastic. Cost much less than a traditional set of drums, and a nice way to see if he is going to stick to it. He's had alot of fun with it, and is improving. I'm sure he will continue to enjoy this kit. I had previously ordered a table style electric drum kit from pyle and it was really awesome except I found it a little compact for me, so, I got this set.... it's set up (obviously) like a real set and the sound is great. I am seriously blown away by how good and actually loud this is. The fact that it's digital... I can't bother anyone with a head set on. This ROCKS for an electric drum kit. Very- happy- customer!

After Recieving the set for Christmas , I have been very pleased with the Set . For an electronic Drum set , It has all I need to learn drumming . I have used it in a Setting with a band . It has held up to moving from location to location , and pairing with a good Amp is crucial ( although A practice Amp is great for around the house ),but not necassary as you can use(good quality) headphones.I have Used it daily . The Pads are responsive and withstand my strikes . the only issue is there are some things you can do on an accustic set that are only acsessable on this set by changing settings. but Overall , A good Drum set for the Value.

This is an ELECTRIC drum kit and with regards to anyone who thinks this will replace their "REAL" kit, i hate to break it to ya but nothing sounds as good as the real thing no matter how much money you spend.
If you want a practice set for jammin out and having fun doing it this is probably a good choice.
I play guitar a little and wanted to try my hand at the drums. I looked at a used set of drums costing 450 at Guitar Center; this was better as it was new and cost less.
As a starter set the kit is perfectly fine and works they way it should.
Although i wouldn't call this a replacement kit, I would recommend it.

We bought this set for my 13 year old son for Christmas. He set it up by himself in an hour or so and immediately began playing. He loves it. Looks and feels enough like a real set to be good for practicing, but not nearly as loud or as big as an acoustic set. Sturdier than I expected. Overall very pleased.

The word "Pro" in the description of this drum set is a real stretch. It is just above a toy in quality. I know it didn't cost much @ $280.00 on Amazon.com but with all 5 star reviews I was hoping for much more. Once again I fell for the highly rated reviews. All pads are identical. Hi-hat is the same pad as toms and snare. You can count on miss and double hits on the base and hi-hat pedals. Hi-hat is either opened or closed. Cymbals function erratically. Wires are all over the place so I gathered and taped to the frame. I did have a problem with box contents(not all there)and Amazon immediately credited me for the discrepancy. It took a good couple of hours to assemble. Instructions were woefully inadequate. I would have returned it but would have been virtually impossible to repackage without at least another 2 or 3 hour effort. Unless you are buying a kids first drum set ... pass on these drums. I will look much closer before I ever purchase another Pyle product.

i get better action with nylon sticks for some reason wooden sticks don't have the same response on the drum heads or cymbal, the sticks are lighter weight and took some getting used to.
the locking parts due just that and hold positioning and adjustments, also i can set this to my specific comfort zone, everything is completely adjustable.

the in built metronome (time keeper) aids emmensely....it works in the same fashion as an expensive digital key board....i can record beats play along change speed/tempo, the metronome helps stay with track speeds..iwish maybe one more symbal but i get alot with the foot symbal. i practice hard trying to improve..this kit helps BIG TIME!
