best buy for the money,

Great amp for the money and was very much impressed with the sound and low noise. I bought this for my son and both guitar and voice were clear even using two monitors and two main speakers. Plenty enough volume but wanted to get another one to drive voice and instruments separately so just ordered the PTA1400. Will write a second review after the PTA 1400 arrives, but don't think you can go wrong with the PTA1000. It fit really nice into our table rack and must say it works as advertised.
Update...just ordered a second PTA1000 to use with a 2-way system and drive a 15" woofer. Was so pleased with the first PTA1000 and the PTA1400 that I got this third one and can't state enough on what a value you get for the money! Here is the setup and remember getting three amps for the price of one: PTA1400 drives our two main speakers PTA1000 drives two monitor speakers PTA1000 will dive the 15" woofer and mix bass by itself

I own a mobile DJ business and I know my way around pro audio pretty well. My church was in need of an amp for 2 12" loudspeakers. I decided to purchase the amp on my own and didn't have $300-$400 to spend. This amp is priced very nicely for my budget. Once I hooked it up, it worked EXCELLENT for the church. It is a small church, but powers the 2 12" loudspeakers perfectly. The only bad part was the indicator lights don't seem to work, that's not really a big deal. If you are on a budget this AMP is perfect if you are limited on a budget, and need performance! Don't expect it to perform like a Crest, Crown or QSC. But by no means is it junk.

I'm Impressed- Great for the Price,
This review is from: Pyle Pro PTA1000 1000 Watt DJ Amplifier (Electronics)
This amp is perfect for my stage monitor setup. Hookup is easy and silent, with the amp on or off. It has plenty of power for vocals, keyboard, or guitar, and is very clean and it pushes multiple stage monitors at 4 ohm's with no problems.
Great for the price.

PA for garage band,

I bought this to run as a PA for our hard/rock/metal band. I use it to run all instruments and vocals out of a pair of 10" floor minitors (8 ohms each). Sound is great, simplicity of operation is terrific, and it suits our needs perfectly.
There are two main selling points for me: Price and size. The power capability and sound quality of this unit are amazing given the cost. Item arrived indamaged, perfectly packed, and ready to fire up. I plugged it in to run both a pair of floor monitors, and then to run my pair of twin 15" JBL main speakers. It performed flawlessly both times. The size was also a pleasant surprise. My main PA is a Mackie 1400W unit, and the Pyle amp is half as deep in the rack and half the weight. This amp has delivered for us each jam session, 5 hours straight each time our band rehearses. No overheating, no distortion, no problem.

I purchased this amplifier from Amazon about a month ago now (I have since returned it). The amplifier seemed to be well-built, but when I hooked it up, only one channel worked from from the get-go.
I did some trouble-shooting (switching speakers, cables, and even inputs from right to left and left to right). The speakers worked fine on my old amplifier, but as I said, one channel was totally dead with the new amplifier. I was going to exchange it, but decided to just keep my old amplifier for now. I gave it three stars because of the ease of the Amazon return policy, it was nothing to print the return form and label and repack it back in the same box and return it. Kudos to Amazon for their return policy. I do have a smaller Pyle amplifier that works great, so maybe this 1000 watt amplifier was just a fluke. As I said, it appeared to be solidly built, and in answer to another reviewer's observation, the fans do make some noise, but not terribly.

I purchased this amp to use as a set up in a shop where I store my toys and tools etc. No major need to audiophile sound but does a good job. Plenty of power to 2 DJ speakers and makes a lot of noise. My only beef with the amp is that there is sometimes a hum at start up that disappears after I turn the volume down and back up. For the price I paid for what I am using it for this is a definite value.Update: I have purchased a second PTA 1000 that I am using bridged on a 15 inch Pyle subwoofer to go along with the 1st amp that I am now using to drive 4 DJ speakers. These amps have held up well and I even use them to DJ parties on occasion. Just did an Oktoberfest party and let them run at high volume with Oompa music for 7 hours. The Police came at around 10:15 and let us know that the music was too loud and that they had never had to tell anyone to turn down Polka music. I have also used them to set up for backyard theater applications. These amps have been a very good purchase.

Like most of the other reviewers on this item,I rec'd the Amplifier and only one Channel worked. I hope Amazon isn't sending them Back Out to Cust. I hope they read some of these reviews and take this Amplifier back to Pyle Pro and let them know of the design/manufacturing flaw.

Only one channel worked! Take heed and believe the reviews!!! I supposed if they both worked, it would have been worth money. You can try to buy one and take a chance on both working if you don't need to use it in a hurry, but I would pass and buy something else.
