For yearsI have struggled to find a microphone which suits my bassy country style voice, with no real success until now. I have bought all types of mikes from$25 to $400 and always been disappointed, even by those from major names in the industry. I don't even know why I decided to order a PDWM 1800 - maybe it was a case of "Well, at that price what have I got to lose?" The answer to that question turned out to be absolutely nothing and in fact ALL my various problems with tonal range on the many mikes I had tried over the years have gone away. This is by far and away the best mike I have ever owned - for me at least the tonal range is spot on with no peaks anywhere in the range which was a problem I suffered with all my previous mikes. The Pyle is great for speech or vocals and if you couple it to an equalizer (I use a run of the mill Radio Shack 15 band unit) you will be surprised just how versatile the PDWM becomes. I have no problems with the signal - no breakup or interferance whatsoever and can only say that this mike has been the answer to my prayers. I cannot recommend it enough after what it has done for me - purely and simply totally transformed my end results.

We needed a inexpensive system for our meeting room ( 25'x35'.) This system works quite well. You will have to keep your mouth close to the mike but otherwise I would consider this as one of your first choices.

I bought this for use as a DJ to make announcements and not be tethered to my equipment. At first I was skeptical because the receiver and microphone are both very light and made of cheap plastic. Nonetheless, I tested it this microphone in 2 different environments and I have not had any signal loss, noise, or feedback (even standing in front of my own speakers). This microphone is truly fantastic and a breeze to use. I Couldn't recommend this more for anyone in the market for an inexpensive wireless microphone.

    Pros:
    - Inexpensive ($57 10/2014)
    - Lightweight
    - Simple to use
    - Voice comes in clear
    - Works at 50 ft (haven't tested further)
    - Low battery light
    - NO FEEDBACK!

    Cons:
    - Cheap plastic and doesn't come with a case - be sure to take care of it so it doesn't get damaged!
    - Unable to add more microphones
    - No option to change band frequency (Hasn't been a problem for me but it's possible using this around certain equipment might introduce noise)

    Conclusion:
Even though this is marketed for teenage girls to use as karaoke, it works surprisingly very well for other uses. Talking and singing both come in crystal clear with no interference or feedback and the lightness and supported distance make this microphone a pleasure to use.

I bought this to use in a festival environment, just sit s in my pocket until Im ready to say something..
It attaches to the sound board with a 1/4" patch cable, has its own gain, and vocals are clear. My voice doesn't cut out until Im well over 50 feet away from the box..
Its JUST the right mix of cheap, but not so cheap its crap, if that makes sense.
To be fair, I make announcements - not sing in a band.

The wireless part of the mic works well without clicks or pops or dropouts for at least 75 feet. The microphone itself has a bassy frequency curve. you need to eq the mix to get it to sound good . Bottom line - a good buy , better for speech than for singing.
