Packs a Punch!,

Got a great deal on the chair and it was a worthy investment. If you don't have a surround sound system, then this is the way to go. I can only really speak on how this acts with video games. This is the only truly "wireless" gaming chair out there. If you consider yourself a gaming hobbyist or more, then you need this chair.

really I can't write enough to explain how much this seat was so great, I paid X2 the normal price for this just to get it to my country,,, and it was worth it, I enjoy every time when I sit on it and play my games, I really recommend it for tail ppl since I am tail and I enjoy it, but my wife is short so she complained about she is not feeling comfortable

This was a great purchase. The blue lights emitting from the speakers are cool. This was purchased for my husband who is 6 foot 3 inches and 185 lbs. He fits into it nicely. He loves this chair. I recommend hooking it up thru your tv rather than through the xbox; it's easier that way. Enjoy!

This is a very well built chair as far as the construction and sturdiness goes, but don't plan on the battery working as both replacements had the battery removed by Pyramat. Ok so I am not sure where to start, but I will say Amazon went out of their way to make another satisfied customer.Ok, so Amazon sent me 3 chairs and the one I kept has had the battery removed by Pyramat. I kept the 3rd chair as Amazon gave me a nice partial refund to keep it and not send it back. 1st Chair: First thing I noticed upon opening the box was that the plastic piece over over the left shoulder speaker was broken off. Upon plugging the it into the wall, I could not get the battery to charge. When it charges it will have a red led light. After reading reviews about having to wiggle the plug, I gave it a shot and only got the red light to flicker on for a split second. The red light never came on again. I also attempted to plug in my iPod touch (this is the only mp3 player I tried) and although it played, it did not get loud at all. In fact is was not loud enough for enjoyable listening through the chair. The sub also rattled when turned up to much. So I would turn it down to just below the rattle stage and it was enough to rock your back while in the chair. This Chair was replaced by Amazon. 2nd Chair: This chair arrived in perfect condition, but once again I could not get the battery to charge (red light). I then pulled out the booklet and there was a giant sticker on the front that stated the Pyramat had removed the battery but still worked when plugged in. I also noticed that all barcodes on box and booklet had a new sticker on them. This sticker stated that the model number was PM450-W. (notice the "R" was missing) The mp3 feature worked better then the first chair and the sub rattled even less then the first. Amazon sent me a replacement chair since the battery was not working. 3rd Chair: The booklet had the same sticker stating that the Pyramat had removed the battery. This one the mp3 player worked the best out of the 3, and the sub has no rattle at all. The left shoulder speaker's led light does glow a different shade of blue. (I don't care as you can't see the blue glow while playing) This is the chair I kept as everything (minus the led) worked perfectly, except for the built in battery. These chairs are well built, but it appears Pyramat needs to work on the electronic side of build quality. This chair is extremely comfertable even after hours of sitting. The speakers are a very nice addition as I dont have surround sound. However I bought this chair originally for hte built in battery as the cord is stretched to the max in our apartments current set up, and I will more then likely have to use an extension cord when we purchase a house. Amazon did pay to send 5 chairs (3 to me and 2 back) since I got the free shipping, and did go out of their way to make sure I was satisfied w/ the outcome. I am unsure about the whole thing of having the batteries removed! I think Pyramat new that the built in battery sucked and just removed them, and then sold them to Amazon with a different product number at a cheaper price. Whether Amazon totally understands that they are not the same one as they are selling or what, I am not totally sure. I did explain to the CSR what was going on and they said they would look into it. I would reommend purchasing this at local place where you can test it out in store or easily return the ones that done work properly. It was a pain going to UPS to return the chairs. If purchased online make sure it is very reputable company (i.e. Amazon), and be prepared to go through a few chairs before being satisfied.

Well,I bought this chair because of the rave reviews of 7 people. Its a great chair but........ the wireless option does not work. I have charge this thing for days and it flashes red like its a bad battery. I email customer support and they very helpful and they thought it might be the adaptor but then how does it work when I plug it in. The other problem I noticed it that it crackles. I am playing Bioshock and loading it on my new playstation slim 3 and it was smooth jazz but it is static. the movies I watch is crackled. I wish this could handle hdmi or optical wire for perfect sound instead of the old school yellow, red and white wires. I am still not sure if this can connect to the tv since I didnt get the wire for tv. I am not sure if I have to buy it but for the price we should get these. As I type, my movie is crackling and the voices sound mumbled. It came in a huge box so returning it will be a pain. Please have better wires for sound is my major complaint and i hope i can just send the battery back instead of this huge chair. On the good note I am 6 foot and I fit just fine. Maybe it was my luck but it seems others love this chair.Update: Took four days of charging for the battery to work. the 1800 number is long promotion of site. if you press 0 over and over somewill answer. I never got the that point. still crackles on movies sometimes.

This chair is awesome. I'm 6'5 and I fit into it easily, and comfortably which means almost anyone can, not to mention the great sound that is produced right next to your head is amazing, and I use the chair as a music player just as much as I use my Bose Sound dock.

Bought this as one of my xmas gifts for my husband, he loves it. Its a very comfortable chair, the speakers are quite loud, a great deal for what we got it for on the site! It is quite heavy tho, will leave imprints into carpet its sitting on, but they come out so long as you dont leave the chair too long :D

This is not what you think! No battery!,

Product came DOA and without a battery. They slap a sticker on the manual that says, this did not come with the battery you are expecting. We did not send it but it won't affect the performance. I saw many of them on EBay so I think the reverse logistic companies are selling as is, since they are getting returned left and right. Go look for your self and save yourself the hassle of buying it from Amazon and being disappointed. The internet reviews talk about this being a wireless cordless product, when you buy it from Amazon it is not. Buy beware! SHOP ELSEWHERE

Doesn't come with Battery...,

This review is from: Pyramat PM450-WR Digital Wireless Sound Rocker (Sports)
Why didn't this come with battery? It had stickers all over the box that said 'battery removed for unit'. But I thought it came with this product. Kinda crazy to call this a rechargeable chair when there is nothing to recharge. Unless I read something wrong in the description. Doesn't matter though because I'm only going to use this with the plug in the wall. Just beware if you think it is coming with the battery, mine didn't. Chair sounds great though, played games with it, and played music through it too which sounded like a little Bose unit... I played some jazz on it, some rap, some pop, sounded really nice. Chair came mostly vinyl or leather, not like the (current as I write this) picture which looks more like mesh material. The leather-look version that I received from my order is probably nicer than the mesh, and the leather version you will probably receive can be seen on the Pyramat website.

Delivery was fast and in good shape, although there was a thin styrofoam layer encrusted on some of the surface (a couple of edges) - maybe due to sheer pressure - maybe stored in cold or high temperature? - after some initial anxiety, I was able to scratch it off with no damage to the chair. The rocker is supposed to be 100% wireless and is to contain a battery that you can recharge with an adapter. I got the surprise to see a sticker on the owners manual saying "the battery has been removed - this unit must be plugged in using the enclosed adapter - this does not affect the performance iof the item" - the manual still describes how to charge the battery etc... but Pyramat decided to take it out. I called pyramat who told me it was a "change in design" since Sept 09 and none of their chairs contain batteries anymore. I felt like buying a car with a sticker saying "we removed the stereo - but this does not affect the performance of the car". I was a bit frustrated and reported this to Amazon - who kindly gave me a small partial refund - kudos to Amazon! Besides this unpleasant suprise, this rocker is pretty awesome. I got it to play games and it is perfect for that purpose: I hooked it up wirelessly to my PS3 (easily: the cable supplied with the PS3 attaches to the wireless transmitter while the video goes to the TV through HDMI) and played Bioshock: the sound is very clear (2.4 GHz is infinitely better than FM transmission - spend the extra bucks if you can, you won't regret it), stereo is well separated, all sounds and background music are crystal, the sound is also powerful, and when the "big daddies" are stomping their feet, you feel like they are in the room. The bass speaker is in the back of the seat (must be oriented toward you to be so clear and real) and... "you live your game" with clear sound and vibration (but not too much - and the bass can be toned down separately if you don't like to rumble). Other features: -This thing is heavy (48-50lb) in case you need to move it a lot, but but this adds to stability and sturdiness. I don't consider this a negative. -Yes, as described by others the blue lights are kind of cool Comfort: -Compared to some other rocker I tried before, the angle is a bit open. In other words, if you want to fully lay back with your head on the headrest, you may want to have your legs in front of you to push it down a little, otherwise you recline a bit much. This said, it's not difficult to find a comfortable position with good viewing angle. It is a question of habit and personal preference I guess. On the flip side, the other rocker where I was more "sitting up" was a bit less comfortable after a long time (so maybe there is a reason for this angle) -I used it several times for several hours straight with no back or butt pain or fatigue (but I had to turn the volume down a bit after a while :) - this speaks for itself. Bottom line: the sound is really great, the comfort is great, and it improves the gaming experience even more than I imagined. If you don't mind the lack of battery (I guess less frustrating if you are warned), treat yourself (or someone else) and get one of these. |
