4.0 out of 5 stars Pyramid PB11PX 2-Channel
I installed this amp in my dodge truck as the previous speakers had the amps built on the speaker itself. The amp works great with a couple of tri-axial Pioneer speakers. Good Product great prices easy to install.

This amp really picks up on electrical noise from the head unit and from the alternator, more so than most other amps I've used. This amp really picks up on electrical noise from the head unit and from the alternator, more so than most other amps I've used. It's got a noise of it's own, even without the alternator whine and the head unit, but it's white and soft. It's currently powering a full range box in the trunk, so the noise isn't much of a problem for my application, but eliminating the alternator whine would be a must if it were powering anything right in the passenger area.

It's gain is decent from the head unit, but it lacks any kind of high/lowpass that would make it useful as a dedicated subwoofer amplifier, unless the head unit had a subwoofer-out line. It's got the power it says it has, and it doesn't get too hot.

For the money, it's good. If you are on a really tight budget and you need a couple watts, this could be for you. If not, invest in something a little better. This is not a BIG amp, but it will power your speakers.

It doesn't say anything about being bridgeable, either, so I'll assume that it's not a possibility, and I don't plan on attempting to bridge it. If it were bridgeable, quieter, and if it had high/lowpass options, it would be perfect.

Wow what a disappointment, as tolerant as I am of things (yes, it was cheap, but now i wouldn't want it if it was free), i had to switch this thing off after an hour of driving, would rather listen to two front speakers then four with this thing wining and crackling.
The alternator whine is very audible, even at high volume i can hear it.
Every time i touch the brakes it pops.
The Level knob on the side of it adjusts volume, not Hz range, because you know not every stereo since 20 years ago has a Fade function.
Base is almost none existent at low volume, very comparable to stock GM stereo (for those that don't know, that's poor...) till you blast it, and then it becomes over strained.
And as far as 120W/2 speakers? yeah wright, makes me wish for that early 1990s jensen amp back.
Going to bypass the thing till i get a new one.
Anyone want a SLIGHTLY used pyramid amp? [...] bucks. Free if i don't have to ship it.

I used these amps in our first systems. Out of the dozen I purchased, three had bad channels. The others worked fine, in fact some are still in use. Since then we have gone to a larger amp. If you want decent power at a low price this amp should work fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars CHEAP and BAD, August 18, 2011

I thought this amp would be really good, but it sucks!!!!!!!! I bought this amp, hooked it to one 15 box speaker, had a bass booster on it, and it burned out in a week and a half! I had to send it back for a refund. It just stop working all of a sudden. People dont try to be cheap when buying a system or radio for your automobile, because the cheaper you go is not the best. What you pay for is what you get.....CHEAP and BAD!!!!!!

This unit uses a Toshiba TA7250BP output amplifier rated at 23 watts into 4 ohms, one for each channel. Even if you include both channels it only a 46 watt amplifier. 240 watts is a blatant lie. I had problems with input noise. Not very forgiving of ground loop conditions.

I received this amplifier, and it didn't work right out of the box.
I hooked up the 12v power supply, and .....nothing.
I waited too long and can no longer return it.

I didn't receive the follow-up email until AFTER my 30 day return policy was over.
That sucks. That is comepletely unhelpful customer service.

This line of amp has problems, just like the other one, this one started buzzing after a few months of use in a different vehicle but does have a lot of power.
