Living in an area where a typical home radio does not work very well.In order to to listen to a favorite radio station after sundown is important to me.The station I listen to is at best marginal . Now that I have my car radio in place , it is well worth the added expense plus the fact that I am now experiencing HD-Radio and it is great.The resting or no load wattage drawn when not listening to the radio is quite minimal approximately 17 watts ( per Kill-A-Watt meter)that is important because that allows you to leave the power supply left on 24/7.

Does what it should, great product, I have two I Use for Ham radios. No problems

I initially purchased the power supply to test some electrical stuff that I am working on, but found that it is a very robust unit, able to do more than simply check to see if relays or horns are working. Currently, I have the unit hooked up to a electrolytic rust removal tank in place of a battery charger that I was using. The unit has been putting out power to the tank for three days straight, with no signs of overheating at all.

I would recommend this unit very highly. Perhaps the only thing that I feel the unit could use is an amp meter in the face of the machine. I know the more expensive units have this, but I just thought it would be a nice addition.

Hopefully this review gave you some idea of my experience with this unit.

Used to put a marine CD player and 1000 amp for kids outside on back pool deck (in a cabinet). Works great and powers all the equipment well. Was easier to buy and compare than on EBay.

This item is the right price and works as good as the more expensive Astron.

the product gets hot pretty quik it is annoying u have 2 keep it cooled with a fan

Use the power supply for marine grade am/fm/cd receiver w/attached speakers which I keep in an outside enclosed box with a hinged door in my patio area (the enclosure is water-tight) The supply works fine and does exactly what its suppose to do. I just wish it would last longer...this is the second power unit procured in 4 years for same purpose.

This a good enough power supply at a great price. I have not tested it for voltage fluctuation or ripple current but it should be OK for most non-precision uses. I have used other Pyramids on critical electronics than need a 12 volt power supply without extra caps with no problems which, for the price, is high praise. Why pay more or build your own?

Well, it works. With a product like a power supply, though, time is the best judge of quality. This power supply should be good for about three years at a minimum (I plan to use it pretty much daily in my radio shack.) Should you not see another review of this item by me at the end of two years, figure it's a very good product.
