4.0 out of 5 stars Full of interesting facts
While it's a little "dry" and scientific, I found the content fascinating. Mr. Toth talks about the history and makeup of the pyramids in a way that only an expert could, and it seems obvious that he has done his research! I took a long time to read the book as I do better with "entertaining" books but I did learn a lot about the pyramids from the book and that is...

I heard about this book when I saw the author on a TV show about how the Great Pyramid foretells the destiny of mankind. It was probably either an episode of 'The Nostradamus Effect' or 'Ancient Aliens'.

I believe this theory since Edgar Cayce stated it also. If the starting point in time is known the pyramid inches which each represent one year can be...

If you are able to see without eyes and open to a real laws unknown laws, probably you would be able to read and make some testing on pyramids, this is fascinating because it would be similar to the law of attraction, perhaps gravity law or maybe magnetic field, see yourself and make your conclusion.

I heard about this book when I saw the author on a TV show about how the Great Pyramid foretells the destiny of mankind. It was probably either an episode of 'The Nostradamus Effect' or 'Ancient Aliens'.

I believe this theory since Edgar Cayce stated it also. If the starting point in time is known the pyramid inches which each represent one year can be measured along the passageways inside the pyramid to find important points in history such as the crucifixion of Christ.

This is a fascinating subject. However this book diverges from that idea quite a bit.

Toth gets into all sorts of bizarre theories about things like numerology and how the bible matches up with the pyramid. This crap is mixed in with important information about the pyramids.

A lot of the material in this book is statements made by other people. I had a hard time differentiating that material from Toth's own opinions and conclusions.

I start taking off stars when people quote from the so called 'lost gospels' that weren't (thank God) included in the bible. There's also some statements that imply that Jesus Christ never existed as a real person. This isn't an intelligent thing to say, irregardless of religion.

There are deep and mystical relationships between mythology, Christianity, and the bible and this includes Egypt's mysterious legacy. However those relationships are not well understood by many people but yet they write books about it anyway.

There's entire chapters dedicated to what I would describe as science fiction.

Dr. Ray Brown claims to have accidentally discovered the ruins of Atlantis in the Bermuda triangle and he went inside a perfectly preserved pyramid and retrieved a crystal ball from its resting place inside this pyramid. Then he heard a terrible voice telling him never to return. Conveniently Brown can't remember where these ruins are so there's no way to validate his claims. This guy was a professional treasure hunter and he can't remember where he was ?

Then in another chapter Toth combines information from his research and creates a fictional vision that someone might have inside the Great Pyramid. These male and female 'ascended masters' tell how the Earth's moon was created when three space objects were going to collide with the Earth so they used their Atlantean technology to prevent this from happening. Two of the objects collided and the third became our moon.

Toth's own conclusion is the Great Pyramid provides predictions, not prophecies, and these predictions are based on historical trends and ancient documents. This is an appropriately vague and ill defined statement that matches up well with the rest of the book.

I don't recommend this book for anyone who is just starting out learning about the pyramids, Atlantis, etc. Reading it could create a quagmire of information in their mind which they may never be able to fully recover from.

As I continue to encounter books like this I realize how valuable Edgar Cayce's statements are. I hope Toth is right and Cayce was reincarnated in 1998. The world needs him now more than ever.

One good thing I'll say about this book is I found out about the following book which I just finished and which I liked:

Egyptian Heritage: Based on the Edgar Cayce Readings

That's actually a more concise version of the following material:

Edgar Cayce's Egypt: Psychic Revelations on the Most Fascinating Civilization Ever Known
