My students love hearing me read these stories in my third grade class. Each story has a satisfactory ending, but the entire saga ends with book 4. My son heard about these books from his school librarian when he was in third grade. He loved them and I continue to share the stories with my classes year after year. Someone liked them so much that my set of books disappeared over the summer, thus, I needed to order another set. My students beg me to start the story each day and we frequently predict what we think will happen. The stories are set in New York City. A group of kids (5th or 6th grade) learn about the pirate history behind the home of one of the boys. They find an old document and begin a treasure hunt that leads them into the NY subway system and a whole new world of homelessness and the difficult struggle to survive underground. Age appropriate danger and more clues follow as the kids look back into the past to find an ancient treasure under modern day NYC.

We received the boxed set of books just as it was described. It was in great shape (looked brand new), and was shipped in a very reasonable time. Very, very pleased with this purchase.

My son really is enjoying these books.They came very fast.It said the case to hold the books might be damages a bit and it was.No big deal since they books were in good condition.Got them for a great price.Over all it was a great transation with this person.Thanks!

I could not find these books in the store so I ordered them online. My daughter loves thems. Can't wait to get more of them.

This series of books kept me up late each night reading - its edge of the seat and they freaked me out a bit. I recommend for 11-15 year olds.
