Love this timer,

This is a digital timer that is easy to use! I've had mine for several months and still love it just as much as when it was new. To set it you just turn the dial, similar to the old fashioned timers.

Nice, easy to set, easy to read digital timer. It has strong magnets on its backside for mounting. I have my attached to the nearby refrigerator and it works great.

Love the idea - and in principal it's great... Except for the fact this is a digital timer can only set whole minutes - no seconds. For my application that does not fly. The weird bit is, when you move the wheel to set time - it shows seconds field before jumping to minutes - but it will not allow me to manipulate the seconds.
I could be thick and missing the bit here - but I tried many different ways, and even RTFM - but to now avail. (Read The Fricken Manual) It was promptly returned (my first Amazon return - in over 5 years) in exchange for the Polder traffic-light timer (which I'm loving).

I really wanted it to be the one, but...,

I've wanted the precision of a digital timer for a long time now, but it had to be coupled with the ability to set the time quickly. All other timers you have to press a button for each hour, or hold it down till you get to the desired time. If you're using a timer frequently, that't just too annoying. Hence my excitement when I found this -- exactly what I had wanted. Unfortunately, it's not executed well.
- Setting the time is done by turning the outer ring, which is neither easy to grip (bad if your hands are covered in butter), nor does it have tactile feedback on how many minutes you've set. - If you want to run the timer twice in a row for the same amount of time each time, you have to set that time twice. It has no memory function. This was the dealbreaker for me. If I'm baking 10 trays of cookies, each for 13 minutes on each side, then I can't have to reset it 20 times. - Pressing the button to start the timer doesn't give good tactile feedback. So I returned it, and am still on the lookout! If you know any good timers that are digital and dial to set the time, let me know by commenting on this. Thanks!

Make better meals,

Use this handy timer almost every meal. Its magnet keeps it handy and it is incredibly easy to set and reset. My only wish is that it were louder. From another room I have a hard time hearing it over the TV.

Not loud enough,

I am very disappointed that the alarm on this timer is so quiet. In fact, I am barely able to hear it over water running in the kitchen sink, with the timer only 3 steps away. I can only hear it in the next room if there is no other sound, i.e. tv/radio/etc., and forget about hearing it if I am ANY place else. In addition, once the timer has counted down and alarms,I wish it would begin to count up, letting me know, in case I don't hear it, how long past my time it has been. It would also be nice if once the timer had counted down, the previously set time is what is displayed, instead of resetting the timer and going back to clock mode. This way if you are, say timing batches of cookies you would not have to run the timer back up each time...or in case you forgot just exactly how long you set the timer originally.
All this being said, this seems to be a well-made timer and if your timer needs don't conflict with the concerns I've mentioned, this might be a good timer for you.

I had the hardest time finding a simple, magnetic timer. This Pyrex timer was perfect. It's doesn't feel light weight or cheaply made. In fact, it's quite heavy and has survived me dropping it several times. The magnets hold great with no sliding down my fridge but it's easy to get off as well. You just twist the cover to select the duration (minutes) and press to start or pause. The beeping isn't too loud or too quiet. The battery life is about one year.
