I have been looking for glassware to bake my upcoming holiday pastries and found this set in the stores for $39.99, on sale for $29.99 but never for this low. Pyrex is a great brand and loved the silicone grips. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL, AND FAST DELIVERY GOT IT IN THREE DAYS!!!!

I thought I had just about every piece of Pyrex one could need! Seriously, you should see my kitchen. I was very pleased with this set. The red silicone grips on this set make it safer and easier to handle. Additionally, the mixing bowl has red silicone grips on the bottom making it non-slip. The cone-like bottom on the mixing bowl makes it ideal regardless if you are scrambling a couple of eggs or making a cake mix. The 9x13 lasagna dish is very versatile, as well as the 8x8 brownie dish.

I really love this set because you not only get a great dish for lasagna/cakes, but you get a brownie/side 8x8 dish, a pie dish, and the mixing bowl. What a perfect starter set, all they are missing is a nice measuring cup and you would have 90% off your bakeware needs covered.

Additionally, this set is superior in quality to most of the Pyrex I own. It washes up extremely easily. I baked some fresh salmon in the 9x13 dish, and after letting it sit for about 10 minutes in some hot soapy water, the salmon that had stuck to the bottom of the dish came right up in washing and looked just like new. I highly recommend it even to people who thought they owned all the Pyrex they would ever need.

I don't know how I lucked out but I decided to purchase a 9x13 glass dish for desserts and Lasagna. When I searched for Pyrex this amazing set came up. All my needs for... what?... $9.99 on sale? I couldn't pass it up and decided I needed two pie dishes also so I bought two of this set. I got FREE Shipping because I ordered something else and order was over $25.00.

Love this set. Love the grips. The mixing bowl is perfect and the grips keep it from moving around on me! The red color makes it pretty too.

Even if I'd paid full price for this set I'd love it. But $19.98 for two sets (and free shipping) just made my Christmas. Ho Ho Ho to me!

Be aware that this is not the Pyrex you grew up with. Try something. Google "pyrex explode" and read. Carefully. Check Consumer Affairs. Read the Wikipedia entry on Pyrex. If you see one person who reports that their cookware failed, you can figure it was misuse - but there are too many reports of Pyrex not only failing, but failing violently, sometimes with injury, for me to feel comfortable.

I'm looking at my Pyrex and trying to figure out how old it is - World Kitchen, LLC ended up with the Pyrex name a few years ago, and does NOT use the same glass as the original Pyrex, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out when these complaints began.

Finally, it's not unheard of for a company to either acquire a reputable brand name, or fall on hard times, and decide to coast on the value of a brand's reputation, while providing a product that doesn't measure up in material, manufacture, or quality control. Of course, I would never suggest that is the case here. I'll let you figure it out.

I really just wanted the mixing bowl, i really want the large mixing bowl.

These pieces are great; they have a silicone insert in 'just the right place' and adds a beautiful splash of color to otherwise boring clear glass.

whodathunk that a glass dish would get 'high marks' for bakeware but sure enough in a head-to-head the pyrex stuff will hold it's own so i already bought a 2-pc set of the 8x8 and 13x9 then discovered the mixing bowls are no longer available other than in this set, so i returned the baking dish set and bought this one instead. Now have a a bonus of the accent color grips on the two dishes i returned and the mixing bowl which is downright fantastic with the rubber ring on the bottom for grip.

one more bonus was the pie plate.

very upset that the 5qt bowl is no longer available; i doubt this set will be available long so buy it while you still can!

Where else could you find red accented glass bakeware?

The glass can apparently shatter on rare occasions but are very useful otherwise. America's Test Kitchen rated the 5 quart mixing bowl tops. So everyone needs to choose between glass and stainless bowls:

All of these products combine the stellar performance of Pyrex cookware along with easy to grip (and hold on to) handles. A great and useful set all around. The bowl is especially amazing; the great no-slip base lets me whip cream without needing to touch the bowl, making it easy to incorporate other ingredients. Best performance of any non-slip bowl I've ever seen. Too bad the 5qt model was discontinued...

Very good uality. Rubber grips are helpful when using oven mitts. Clean up is easy. Pyrex makes good stuff.

The first set I received has two or more pans shattered in the box. With broken glass everywhere, I didn't check the details. But the good thing is that I called Amazon and they sent me a new set in express delivery. Great service and great price from Amazon.

About the pans, they are just good old pyrex with a nice modern touch, same performance, better looking.
