I have a lot of Pyrex in my kitchen. They come in so many sizes, shapes, some with lids and some without. They can be used in the oven, refrigerator and freezer. This piece is great not only for roasting, but really for casseroles! The size and depth make it perfect for recipes like shepherds pie or sweet potato bake. I'm always looking for a new piece to add and with the great prices it's easy to do.

If you are just starting out this is one set I would suggest getting:

I have used this bakeware for a while now and really like it. I would have given it 5 stars but it's lacking a lid, which is pretty indispensible. One other review said it has a lid; it does not. I had an extra glass lid from a dish I broke and it fit this dish, otherwise I would have had to cover with aluminum foil. I've put just about every type of food in it and after letting it soak for a while it comes clean easily, and I plan to buy more just because it's so very useful for so many things I cook.

I love this roaster. It works perfectly when I cook roast, chicken or hens. I love the convenience of taking it right from the oven to the table and then into the fridge. It saves on dishwashing. Great item!

I love Pyrex Bakeware. It is so much nicer than metal and cleans up easy in the dishwasher or by hand. Really A Great little Roaster.

Perfect size for almost anything. I use it all the time. Great quality, nice and thick, overall a great pan.

There are few things these days that we can have confidence in. Well, one you can have confidence in is this excellent Pyrex casserole dish, with lid. I was shocked when I was in Wal-mart recently, and they had NO casserole dishes with lids. I was comforted to discover this excellent Pyrex dish with lid on-line with Amazon, and I recently cooked a casserole in it. Mom, I remember you! Mom, if you went to Wal-mart now, you could not find the basic things that you cooked with all your life, and the beginning of mine.

But you can buy this classic casserole dish/with lid for just a few bucks on Amazon. For me, to buy this dish, was to re-live my family life in the 50's. Don't laugh. People hunger for something that they do not know about. This casserole dish is not a panacea, but it does open a door to a way of life we might all enjoy.

Well, I am enjoying that life tonight. With a casserole my mother made many times, only possible because I purchased this nice casserole dish.
