I am quite happy with this dish. I've been using it constantly since it arrived and had no problems. I guess maybe I could have opted for a clear one, rather than a colored one but it doesn't really affect the cooking. I've used it in the oven, the microwave and put it in th fridge with no trouble. If you don't have any Pyrex dishes, try this one. You'll find the size very convenient and at this price, why not?

I use this for my cornbread pan mostly and even if I only used it for that, it is well worth having in my kitchen. I watched it for a long time, after I had purchased the 9x13 Amethyst Pyrex Baking Dish and when the price was right I jumped on this one so I have the matched set.

Of course, the amethyst (purple) color is quite lovely, but the fact that it is Pyrex means even more to me. It is made in the USA. You don't have to worry about lead, or faulty manufacturing. Pyrex products are always reliable and easy to take care of.

Hint for the day - If you are making something like cornbread, brownies, cakes, whatever, in this sort of dish, save your butter wrappers and keep them in the refrigerator or freezer (in an airtight container of course). When you go to bake something just pull out a couple of those butter wrappers, open them up, and rub the inside of the wrapper all over the inside of the baking dish. That way you will not waste a bunch of butter, or get the dish overly oiled, and you can just toss the wrapper after you have rubbed it all off on your baking dish. No muss no fuss!

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who bakes on a regular basis - she needed a new brownie pan. This has worked perfectly and has been easy to keep clean (from what she's told me). I've tasted the brownies baked in this pan and they're awesome! I'd definitely recommend this, plus it's a gorgeous color!

Pyrex is a solid product. Being purple makes my day! Didn't really need them but the color made me do it!

It is a nice dish, but I read a report from government warning about pyrex dishes exploding in the oven. Something about company using a cheaper glass. I don't know if this one is involved. But I threw it away just to be on safe side...

I am glad I got one of these while I could.

The color is a beautiful purple. The dish is the right size and comes clean easily.

Pyrex has yet to disappoint me.

There are two types of people in this world. Those who like metal bake ware and those who like glass. I prefer glass. I feel that it works better. Pyrex is the best, as everyone already knows. Oh course, this one is purple, so I like it the best.

This product arrived quickley. I love the purple pyrex I wish it would make a come back.

There is no guess work with a name brand like Pyrex, you know your gonna get quality!
