It's a standard pyrex microwave casserole dish with a plastic steamer basket. As usual, dollar for dollar you can't beat the quality of Pyrek products for cooking. This is a nice addition to any cook's supplies, especially if you do frozen veggies in the microwave. It's simple, basic, easy to clean, no gadgetry. Love it!

This is a terrific item - I wonder why no one's made a microwaveable steamer basket to put inside other micro-ware? Anyway, this is of usual Pyrex quality and design, at an affordable price. Can't beat that!

I am very well satisfied with the steamer. It is a quality product, that I would recommend to anyone who is wanting to purchase a microwave steamer.

In our household, this steamer was essential for creating homemade baby food. We used it frequently, steaming fruits and veggies. It works well, is easy to use, and cleans up nicely. The white basket does hold color from cooking, but that is true of most plastic. We now use it for steaming veggies for dinner as well. Great buy!!
