Pyrex No Leak Lids 6-Cup Clear Glass Rectagular Storage Dish with Plastic Lid

Since 1915, experienced cooks and beginners alike have reached for Pyrex glassware products. It all started with our glass bakeware loved for generations because it's affordable, durable, odor and stain proof, and great for cooking, serving and storing. Since then, new favorites have joined old standbys. The Pyrex line now includes products for the entire kitchen, including pots and pans, metal bakeware, and kitchen tools and gadgets. They're all designed and proven to make cooking a little easier. Today, over 70 percent of U.S. homes have Pyrex glass products, with many cooks passing them down from generation to generation which we think is pretty neat.

Save space, money and food by storing leftovers using PYREX 6-Cup Rectangle No-Leak Lids. The airtight seal saves on spills, keeping foods under wrap and not on your lap. The BPA-free plastic also features a microwave vent for reheating in a snap.

        • Leak proof and air tight seal for secure storage.
        • Vents for microwaving.
        • Lid tab for easy open and close.
        • BPA-free plastic.
        • Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Perfect size for leftovers or for lunch.

While these features are pretty standard, Pyrex No Leak containers are also oven-safe (glass containers only) and the lids are microwaveable.

The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is the pricing.

Like many people these days I was looking to replace my old, barely-functioning plastic storage containers and upgrade to glass for health reasons. In my quest for the best product I bought and ultimately returned Snapware Glasslock, Kinetic Glasslock, and Anchor Hocking TrueSeal. The Anchor Hocking TrueSeal leaked like a sieve so that was an immediate no. The Snapware Glasslock and Kinetic Glasslock both were leakproof, but I decided against them because I like the look of Pyrex No Leak better, and it has additional benefits such as a microwaveable lid and oven proof glass.

What I love about Pyrex No Leak: First and foremost it is 100% leakproof. I was a little worried about buying Pyrex because their Basic Glass Containers (blue lids) and Glass Lids Containers (red lids) are definitely not leakproof. I tested the Pyrex No Leak out of the box by filling them with water and shaking them upside down, not one drop came out. Yesterday, I packed soup for lunch and my lunch bag turned upside down in the car. The No Leak performed great and not a drop was spilled. The round and rectangular shapes are equally waterproof.

Next I feel that Pyrex No Leak has the best overall features of any glass containers on the market. The lids are BPA-free, and the containers are freezer, microwave, and dishwasher (top rack) safe. While these features are pretty standard, Pyrex No Leak containers are also oven-safe (glass containers only) and the lids are microwaveable. All the competing lids must be removed for microwave use, and while I am trying to get away from using plastic, the reality is there are times when I don't have or don't want to use a paper towel and isn't it nice that I can simply use the lid if I want? Also the clean up is easy.

These are a perfect size to take a lunch to work or to store some small items in your fridge. The glass is heavy duty and the lid seals tightly. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is they don't stack very well. I have some other rectangular pyrex containers that have a small slope to the sides so that they can stack; they don't go nest the way down but at least partway, and they are easy to remove from each other. These get stuck together if you stack them; you'll need to put a piece of paper to keep them separated if you stack them.

I have 2 of these pyrex containers and they worked great at the beginning. Unfortunately, The lid and the seal eventually lost their shape and the containers started leaking. This happened after less than 6 months.

Most of my meals are cooked either just for me or, on a good night, one other person. And my favorite recipes call for a 9' x 13" casserole dish, which usually means I'm eating it for 4-5 meals because it's difficult to half a recipe that calls for 1 egg or 1 can of condensed soup. 2 of these baking dishes are the right size to replace 1 large casserole dish, which means I can make up the recipe once, split it between 2 baking dishes, and cook one and freeze the other for later. They're good for the freezer, microwave and oven. Leftovers can go right into the fridge without getting another dish messy. 10 min in the microwave on 25% power and a dish out of the freezer is warm enough for an oven. The only thing I don't like is the lid retains water in my dishwasher (I'm in an apartment, so it's a low end appliance) so I always wash the lids by hand.

I own the 3-cup and 6-cup containers. They look nice and can be used in the freezer, refrigerator, oven, and microwave. The lids are BPA-free and, so far, have worked well in the microwave. The vent on the lids, for microwaving, is very useful. I also like the fact that the glass and the lids are both made in the USA.

Amazon is my favorite place to shop but this item is overpriced at the moment. The 3-cup container is being sold for almost $10. I purchased a set of 3 containers, two 6-cup and one 3-cup, for $14 and change at my local Target.

Seems to be leak-proof! But you have to leave room at the top, as the gasket fits inside the dish about 1/2 an inch. this size is not very deep.

But it is the Perfect size/shape for my spinach artichoke dip! I can freeze the dip (or a two person casserole, etc.) then later defrost it in the micro without worry of warping the lid...which is also BPA free. Then I can finish it (lid off) in the toaster oven, add more cheese to the top, etc.

Yes, it is hot. Hot glass. Use oven mitts, etc. Your family will need to learn the rules of Pyrex before using. They will also need to learn to wash the lid well, or it will get funky. The leak-proof gasket is removeable for thorough washing.

These are leak-proof because each container come with a 3rd piece; a gasket that snaps into the lid. Now you have a gasket AND a corresponding groove in the lid (narrow) to clean after each use. I hate hate, hate, hate cleaning those gaskets, after bringing my lunch to work.

        The gasket is a nuisance.

        Usage:
I bought this to bring lunch to work where I can reheat it in the microwave. I wanted something that was stain-proof, leak-proof and would not melt/deteriorate in the microwave. I also wanted something that was big enough and shallow enough that I could stir the food partway through reheating without slopping it overboard.

        Pros:
        Dish itself is stain-proof

        Cons:
Does not lie flat, rocks as I use it either filling it or eating from it. This was a replacement. The first one had the same problem and Amazon was great with sending a new one. I decided to keep it and deal.
Not absolutely leak-proof, but very close. I would not trust it on my car seat or on its side in a briefcase/bag. Since my commute is by car and not public transit. I can just put it in a bag on the floor.
        Lid is not stain-proof.
Vent hole cover is close to impossible to open without sticking something under it like a spoon. This is what helps it be leak-resistant, but a longer pull tab on it would, I think, alleviate the issue.

        Subjective stuff:
It was large enough for my purpose and also shallow enough. Something deep makes it difficult to reheat food in the microwave.
It is heavy. Well, it's glass, not plastic. Comes with the territory.
