Pyrex takes its show on the road with its stylish, travel-ready Portables series. Perfect for preparing, transporting, and serving anything from a picnic main dish to a potluck dessert, this handy set includes a 3-quart glass oblong baker, a snap-on plastic lid, and a matching plastic basting spoon. All pieces fit snugly into a form-fitting, blue insulated tote that zips open along three sides and stays balanced with two straps. To keep foods toasty en route to the tailgating party or grandma's house, heat the included hot pack in the microwave and slip it into a pocket in the tote's top. For chilled items like fruit salad or fudge, simply substitute a frozen cold pack for the hot one. The baker is made of Pyrex glass, so it can handle high cooking temperatures, make quick changes from hot to cold, and provide a sophisticated presentation (it's always stain- and odor-free--no matter how garlicky the tomato sauce!). This product is terrific for picnics, parties, or whereever you go. Food stays warm and easy to carry. I would buy another in a heartbeat! Could probably use two!! Some of the portables also come with a cold pack. This particular one only came with the hotpack.

This dish was perfect for what I had in mind when I bought it. I took it to family get-togethers & with the hot pack (just heat in the microwave), the food stayed hot for hours! It came with a convenient carrying case, which made it simple to transport. I love it!

I had been wanting one of these for a long time, as I frequently bring food to potlucks and other gatherings. It was on sale as the "big deal of the day" so I got it.
And I'm a happy girl, indeed! The carrying case is very sturdy and holds the covered glass pan in place very well. Since the carrying-case handle is well positioned in the center, it allows carrying the whole thing in a way that doesn't tip the food, which I really appreciate.
One happy surprise was that the glass baking pan itself is 9 x 13 inches, which is standard. The dimensions described in the narrative were for the whole thing, case and all (16" x 12", I think) and I thought I would have to adapt some recipes. So I was glad it was the standard baking pan.
Also, one other thing I love is the "keep warm pack" (it's probably really called something else) that comes with the item. It can be microwaved and put in the inside cover and it really does keep the item warm for quite some time! My manicotti was still steaming when I got to my destination 15 miles away (in 10 degree weather)!
You may only use this sporadically, but as someone who has had a whole pan of tiramisu dump over in my back seat, I am happy I now have something much more secure to tote it in!

Great product; not so great zipper
Awesome concept and execution. Works like a charm. Prevents back seat spills. Zipper did not last as long as the other items in the set... very disappointing lifespan.
