This is a great bowl. It was a replacement for my 52 year old yellow pyrex large mixing bowl that fell out of a drainer and broke on the countertop. I ordered the clear glass 4 quart bowl to replace it and have found the new one to be more than satisfactory. I like the clear glass better than the old opaque glass that was yellow on the outside and white on the inside. The size is just right. And best of all, I did not have to go shopping to replace the broken bowl. Thank you Amazon.com!!!

I love the bowl's sturdiness and size, however it's too shallow to do alot of mixing in, which is what I bought it for. Serves it's purpose, but could serve it alot better.

This isn't your mother's Pyrex. Over the years the Pyrex name has been sold and the glass formulation has changed. I like the fact that it's still made in the U.S.A. The bowl is lower and flatter than I would prefer. Others may prefer the shape. The integral exterior rim improves lifting, especially when hot. The price was reasonable. I mix, and microwave cook using a Corelle glass plate as a cover. What is missing is the plastic snap lid for storage.
