Pyrex Serveware Weave 2-1/2-Quart Serving Bowl

Pyrex has two different lines, Serveware and Storageware, that really should be combined. This is a nice-looking bowl and it works fine for heating in the microwave before serving. It works fine in the refrigerator, too, but it doesn't come with a lid; you need to add disposable plastic wrap. Since the sides are tapered you can stack multiple bowls in little cupboard space.

Pyrex's Storageware is a line of plain glass bowls (with mostly straight sides) that come with lids. They work fine for heating in the microwave before serving, and work just as well in the refrigerator, too, because they come with lids. They're not as attractive as the Serveware products on the table, but I often use them there because they're more versatile. Because the sides don't taper much they don't stack very efficiently in your cupborads.

With a lid, this bowl would rate 5 stars. It gets 4 from me without a lid.

Great bowl for salad or pasta! A little bit hard to clean with the nooks and crannies of the weave, but that's on the outside so relatively little gets in those nooks. Very heavy and nice looking!

This is a great bowl, I am very glad I bought it. The texture on the outside helps to grip it. The size is perfect for many, many applications - not too big or too small. I love pyrex products for durability.

I purchased this bowl for $2.99, what a steal. The outside is textured which gives added insurance that the bowl won't slip from wet hands, etc. I love the clear glass and of course Pyrex' name speaks for itself for durability. My family have Pyrex bowls that we've had forever and they are still going strong. Great product, buy it for the name, buy it for the great bowl and value.
