I cannot believe this price at Amazon.com. Walmart sells 4 of these bowls packaged together, for 10 dollars.
These are very usable bowls. They go in the dishwasher and microwave oven. I use them a lot.

Pyrex glass storage dishes are a big step up from plastic, even from expensive plastic. They hold up better than plastic in the freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, and unlike plastic can go in the oven too. I have about 10 of the larger 2-cup storage dishes with lids, and all of them are in use!

I found just one 1-cup dish with lid at a mom&pop hardware store years ago, bought it, and have been looking for more ever since then. I even posted a request somewhere on Amazon last year ... and lo and behold, Amazon now has this hard-to-find item! Yes! If you have little kids or you cook a lot, these tiny 1-cup dishes with lids are ideal for saving small portions of food.

The blue lid is a nice midnight blue.

I ADORE these pyrex dishes. It's hard to find the 1 cup dishes but... this price is way off. Search the site for a while. You can get an 18 piece set wtih 2 of these 1 cups for 29.99 ... They display the 2 cups at prices ranging from $11-$6, each claiming a different original price from which they've marked down. You HAVE to look at all the sets and prices.... because the product is worth the effort... and a set is a GOOD thing!!!

Nice size. Standard Pyrex durability. But $5.99 for a 1-cup container? It's overpriced.

I've used the 2 cup, 4 cup and 7 cup sizes of these and love them. They're sturdy and seal well/don't leak. I prefer see-through glass containers so I can see what's inside, and end up with science experiments growing in the fridge. Very convenient to put hot food directly from the stovetop, put it in the fridge, and reheat in the microwave without changing containers.

I wanted to get a bunch of 1 cup containers to store my toddler's food, instead of the baby food jars with the rusty lids that I'm using now. But $9.99 for one? Come on.

World Kitchen LLC, the company that manufactures Pyrex as well as other kitchen supplies, has these 1 cup round Pyrex storage containers for less than a third of the price here.

Dumped all the plastic containers and went with glass. Easy to clean, store and use. Nice to be able to buy a product made by USA workers.

I cherish all of my Pyrex glass storage containers; they last forever, they don't stain, and you can quickly see what you have stored in them. This is their smallest round size and we use it often. It's the perfect size to hold leftover sauces, gravies, and vegetables.

Another good use for this small bowl is to store wet or dry baking ingredients "on hold" for a recipe you'll be making later on. If I know I will need to bake or cook on a very busy day, then I will get the ingredients ready a day or two beforehand and store them in my Pyrex bowls. Then I just toss it all together on that busy day and have a wonderful, homemade recipe finished without too much trouble. This size is great for nuts, chopped onions, etc.

If I could choose only one type of storage container for my kitchen, Pyrex flat-bottomed storage containers would definitely be my choice! However - I would not purchase this bowl individually. I'd purchase the Pyrex Storage 18-Piece Round Set, Clear with Blue Lids. This 18-piece set is priced at just over $3.33 per bowl, which is a GREAT bargain! And you'll get a fantastic assortment of sizes as well.

I purchased 4 of these awesome little storage bowls at Christmas. They are just the right size for storing (and freezing) leftover coconut milk and other small items. I just came to this page to buy 4 more, but I will wait for the price to drop or look elsewhere. I refuse to pay nearly $9.49 EACH. They cost half this at Christmas.

I LOVE the OLD pyrex. It was the BEST but this new stuff is made in China and is garbage. If you are lucky enough to have some of the old containers all you have to do is hold them next to the new ones and you will see the difference. The old ones are clear and the new ones have a blue cast to the glass. For some reason the blue tint in the glass weakens it but somehow makes it cheaper to produce. From what I've read all colored glass is more fragile especially when subjected to heat but I have to tell you, it also chips with just regular use. I've never had any of the old pyrex chip. Also, the lids for the new ones are EXTREMELY stiff and very difficult to get on to the containers. I even had one lid split because it would not stretch. Somehow this new stiffer plastic is cheaper to make just does not make a good product.

These Pyrex dishes in all of the sizes are perfect. I use them for storing left overs all the time. I have nothing but great things to say abou them. Perfect sizes for left overs. Work extremely well in the microwave. Dishwasher safe. They stack well. Dark blue lids easy to find also. I would definately recommend this product to everyone.
