4.0 out of 5 stars great bowl
This bowl was smaller than what I expected, but it was a medium size bowl that I could still use. Will order the bigger size next time! The lid is a plus - good for storing food in the fridge.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of the new cheap Pyrex. It can break in the microwave.
A few weeks ago, I put my Pyrex bowl with my lunch into a microwave to heat it up. As I was eating, I bit into something hard and thought it was a bone. It turned out to be a glass shard, and I googled pyrex+cracking+microwave and discovered the newer version is cheaper and can break in the microwave! Consumer beware! We never had a problem with the old Corning Pyrex, but...

I have several of the Pyrex Storage containers and I think they're great for storage and reheating. I am trying to move away from plastic containers (especially cheap ones) and this is a perfect alternative. Also, they are made in the USA, which to me is very important for several reasons.

We must have all the different size pyrex bowls and use them all the time. I'm guessing but we must have 25-30 bowls for our family gatherings. We have many dinners that have any where from 17 to 25 family members and guest so left overs are keep in these bowls. It's apparent that we are very satisfied with the pyrex products.

These are the right size for many uses. I can bring cooked food to work, or refrigerate cooked food. I don't have to buy lunches now. They save me money. The size is perfect. The glass is heavy enough. Great product!

The Pyrex storage dish is a favorite of mine. I have several in different sizes. It can be used in the microwave to reheat food. I would certainly recommend this product.

Then, these are the best being glass. The plastic there is keeps food sealed tight consistently. Worth the money.

I've had several types of storage containers -- most of them plastic. We moved into a loft and had to downsize, and now most things have to serve more than one function. These containers work well as bowls, and yet go from freezer to micro to table. We bought this to round out the set of containers we bought (also on Amazon) -- we needed more large containers.

Wonderful bowl for seeing what's inside. Although glass, I have several and haven't had a breakage yet. No staining.
