Pyrex Storage Deluxe products come with seal tight plastic lids for secure food storage and special steam venting tabs for just the right amount of heating pressure. I highly recommend this set. I bought 2 sets to replace my old plastic set, and I won't use anything else in the microwave (especially when I read a report about the health dangers of any plastic used in the microwave). They stack even better than I imagined in the fridge; they never stain, of course; they're so versatile for use in the wave, oven, fridge, & freezer; they're even lighter than my old Pyrex; and I love the vents in the lids because I can microwave food without it splattering all over. Keep up the good work, Pyrex!

They close great and the 2 larger ones are fine. But the 2 smaller containers are so small that I could not imagine what you could store in them.

I will never buy plastic again...this primarily rectangular set is perfect! I store everything from cookies, to leftovers in these containers...and can rest assured that we will be safely microwave re-heating in glass, not plastic. The rectangular shape is great in the frige...no wasted space. I bought 3 sets and it is perfect for my family of 9.
