As a geologist myself I had to appreciate the title and name of this band. This is one of their earlier releases and not their best stuff. The music is very different, all instrumental with guitar, keys and alot of atonal sax. It probably owes more to fusion jazz than straight prog, being very improvisational. Lots of strange sounds that can almost distract from the main themes. The songs tend to be rather short and range from some fairly hard stuff with funky grooves to the theme from the Simpsons. This is an interesting band that would appeal to fans of Djam Karet and to a lesser extent Ozric Tentacles.
