5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for artists who want to try pyrography, December 18, 2011

This review is from: Pyrography Handbook (Practical Crafts) (Paperback)
This author is clearly a gifted pyrographic technician, but the book is more than a technical explanation of the mechanics of the craft. Examples can provide seasoned artists a comfortable initiation into tool and supply choices and offer practical practice advice to shorten the learning curve. My studied mediums were pen and ink, acrylics and colored pencil, but with this book I'm already creating marketable pieces using a simple craft store wood-burning pen and am preparing to move to a more powerful tool. Well worth having.
