In December we bought several word or board games for our 5 grandsons, or for ourselves to use with them. When I first saw Keesdrow in the store I didn't immediately recognize the strange name was Wordseek spelled backward. How clever.
We love playing it. Lots of fun for all who are old enough to spell. Highly recommended.
IMPORTANT NOTE to consider: After we learned that this version is much more limited than the Deluxe version, since we love the game so much, we purchased the Deluxe version also. Prior to our first purchase, I could not find what was the difference between the regular and deluxe versions. Here it is - the playing board for the NON-Deluxe is 36 playing tiles (making a 6x6 tile grid) and 70/50/60 groups of colored pegs. However, for a small additional cost, the Deluxe version includes 64 tiles (making 8x8 grid) and the same peg groups. Additional pegs can be purchased separately. The larger grid is better for more players or for advanced players.

This game has so many great skill-building components to it. As a school-based occupational therapist I like using this game to work on skills such as tracking, visual spatial skills, and fine motor control. The students love to play and I have used this with students in early elementary up through high school. In addition to OT-related areas, this game can also help strengthen spelling and math skills. This version is perfect for the classroom and there are many ways it can be modified to make the game easier or more challenging. A winner to be sure!!

My husband and I have a blast playing this game when the kids go to bed. It's so much fun trying to find words and the game has a very clever setup. I like how there aren't severe limitations on obscure letters or the number of letters like there are in Scrabble (my husband found 'zyzzyva' on our first game). We usually only play 7 rounds since we don't give each other a time limit on each turn, which keeps the game from getting too long.

It would be great for teaching children math skills in addition to language skills. I can't wait to play this with our kids when they're old enough!

We love this game. There are so many variations you can play. It is an ever changing word seek game that you can play with 2 or more players, alone or on teams.
