This book was very helpful to first timers to the island. It is laid out easy to access the info you need without having to read it page by page. It provides a wealth of info that will help make anyone's (Gay, Straight, Families with kids) trip to Fire Island much more enjoyable. I only wish they would update it with a new version as some of it is dated now.

I bought this book quite some time ago and read it at the time. It made me want to go to Fire Island even more so. Knowing little about the place this book has tons of useful information and is very readable. I would recommend this book to anyone who is either interested in Fire Island and/or thinking of going for the first time.
