4.0 out of 5 stars cheery color
A cheerful book which lives up to the promise of its cover, while it could be used by an absolute beginner. The projects are repetitve of a few simple ideas. What lifts this from the ordinary is the inspiring advice/instruction to make a few extra blocks and use a design wall to pick and arrange for maximum effect. Each of the complete projects include color harmony...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but not for a newbie
I have only made 1 quilt in my short life time and I didn't even use this book to help me. This book is lovely and shows quilting as elegant as ever but for me it was so hard to fellow and understand... I just put the book to the side and did something else. :(.

Each of the complete projects include color harmony suggestions that are fresh and inviting. Also, here is a gallery of quilts completed by students, using the patterns from this book. What fabulous ideas ! Each is shown as a whole, and with enlarged details. I think it's a great way to envision what you might accomplish working through one (or more) of the patterns in the book.
