I bought this about 2 years ago, I use it with 4 remote CCTV, very nice and friendly software, provides all the flexibility u need for a DVR, HDD capacity enough for 1 week of continuous recording (1 month if motion detection used), data is saved on files each contains half an hour with nice option to replace oldest files with newer ones or to stop recording.
watching while recording,
the only drawback is that the fast playback maximum speed is 8X (I saw ones with up to 32X)
