4.0 out of 5 stars Great picture!
This monitor is great for babies as well as older children because it allows for true video surveillance. You can also plug it in to your TV to see a larger image. I have to say though that the color isn't as vivid as they show in the pictures, as a matter of fact it's more like very light pastels, close to a gray scale. If you have a very large house you may have some...

We were given the Q-see baby monitor 2 camera pack as a holiday gift.

Only one of the cameras worked out of the box and it took weeks of phone calls and voice mails to get an RMA. They do not offer claim tag service, so I paid to ship the defective camera back to them.

We were given the Q-see baby monitor 2 camera pack as a holiday gift.

Only one of the cameras worked out of the box and it took weeks of phone calls and voice mails to get an RMA. They do not offer claim tag service, so I paid to ship the defective camera back to them.

When we finally received the replacement camera, it appears to be the same unit we sent to service, and it still doesn't work.

The one working camera locks up (No signal from camera) on a regular basis and must be unplugged and replugged to reset. As of this week, the IR lights quit working and also require a power cycle to work.

I can handle a few bumps in the road with technology, but the lack of QA combined with miserable customer service from DPS is just too much. Stay away from this company and it's products.

I have to say though that the color isn't as vivid as they show in the pictures, as a matter of fact it's more like very light pastels, close to a gray scale. If you have a very large house you may have some reception issues with the sound, which comes in best when closest or in the room directly below the nursery. Overall I like this product because I am able to watch my baby after she wakes up and see her play before I go get her after her naps. It also has motion/sound sensors, so you don't need to watch or listen the whole time, as these will alert you with an alarm if the baby moves or makes a sound (the sensitivity of the sensors can be regulated).

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, January 5, 2010
This review is from: Q-See QSDB8209C 2.4-Inch Digital Wireless Portable Monitor with Wireless Night Vision and Audio Camera (Electronics)
I first bought this monitor when our baby was born and it works okay for about 6 months and then starts flashing "no signal". Called customer service, have to get a code and must have receipt to send back at your own expense. I bought this at a warehouse store for $69 and luckily the store has a great return policy. Returned it and got another unit which worked fine again until about 6 months of use, now it is flashing "no signal" just like the other one. Unfortunately the store I bought them at is no longer selling them so I will have to go through Q-See to return. Goes through batteries fast and is rounded on the bottom which makes it difficult to balance on anything unless it is an entirely flat surface. Okay picture and sound but not in color like picture, more like black and white unless the room is really light. Will try another brand if they can't fix it at my expense of shipping.

1.0 out of 5 stars didn't work, June 2, 2009
This review is from: Q-See QSDB8209C 2.4-Inch Digital Wireless Portable Monitor with Wireless Night Vision and Audio Camera (Electronics)
We purchased this monitor and it only worked for a couple weeks, before the image stopped working and we were only able to get sound. I tried to get ahold of the company and was never able to. Huge waste of our money.
