Q-See wireless systems allow you to monitor areas where it is difficult to set up a standard camera. The QSWLMCR is an indoor mini wireless camera and receiver combination that allows you to monitor an area through a TV. You can also attach the receiver to a VCR or DVR to record the video files. The receiver can support up to 4 wireless cameras and will allow you to view them one at a time manually, or in an automatic sequence. It can receive signals from the cameras from a distance of up to 300 feet line of sight, and an audio receiver so that you can hear as well as see what is happening. The camera is extremely small, it fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to conceal so that you can monitor an area without the camera being detected, and has a microphone to send audio as well as video to the receiver. Q-See wireless products are portable, mobile units that deliver live images directly to a TV, or dedicated recording stations such as a DVR or VCR.

The Q-See Camera Kit is a great buy for anyone who wants to monitor an area wirelessly and with ease - during the day, that is. The camera was not made for low light conditions, and an unlit room will just show up as static and black. Also, the item description was not very informative, and there is only one 9-V Battery adapter (for use with the camera), even though it will also work with the receiver. However, there are two wall power adapters for both the camera/receiver. This didn't make much sense, especially if the receiver needs to be powered by a battery for your purposes.

The camera is incredibly small, more then I had thought. The pictures online didn't do it justice - I'll post a comparison picture later.

The range is okay. The camera just barely works through my house, with the receiver in one end of the house and the camera in the other, the image is static-y and hard to see.

For a $35 dollar camera, this tiny camera is great for anyone who wants to monitor a room close by with no cables or problems.

Using this camera to monitor a child's play room, transmitter is connected to a DVR. The image contains static at various levels, depending on where it is placed. Picture quality is okay as long as it is placed where static is at a minimum. Range from camera to computer is no more than 50 feet (though walls).

When I place the camera within 5 feet of my computer, I no longer have connection to my wireless access point. I've tired different channels with no luck. I've also tried to get more information from chat on the manufacturer's site, and never got anyone one on the other end.

I did leave a question with support: "Is there a channel I can put my wireless router on so ease conflicts...". The answer I received was :"Probably not, but you can check the users manual for the router.". So, if you have a 2.4mhz wireless network in your home, you may want to consider a 900mhz camera. From the support available from Q-See, you're pretty much on your own.
